On Friday Queen Letizia attended an audience at Zarzuela Palace with King Felipe VI, where they met representatives from the Spanish broadcaster TVE to mark its 60th anniversary.
Her Majesty, a former news anchor who used to work at TVE, looked refined in a simple black knit top and a co-ordinating belted skirt.
The mixed media skirt is a new addition to her closet from Hugo Boss. It is the German brand's BOSS 'Viphima' flared skirt with contrasting insert (£179). The skirt has a modern A-line shape and the contrasting jacquard insert with a subtly cross-hatched texture is the focus of its design.
The textured front is reminiscent of the interference pattern you used to see on old analogue TVs. Perhaps Letizia choose it as a sartorial tribute to the Spanish Television broadcaster.
She teamed the skirt with the black Hugo Boss 'Fabrisia' pure wool sweater (£129) which I was able to identify from the "double-finished" border detail on the neckline.
The lightweight BOSS women’s sweater in made from very fine new wool. Details such as the double-finished borders on the neckline and hem give its simple design a modern accent.
Letizia also debuted a new pair of crocodile-embossed pumps from Hugo Boss. They are the BOSS 'Staple R100-C' model (US$395).
The Italian-made pumps have an almond toe box, a 10 cm stiletto heel and feature a branded bar-shaped ornament at the back. They are no longer available in the 10 cm heel, but they are available with a shorter 7 cm heel as shown below. This alternative style is named the Staple R70-C.
Letizia coordinated the pumps with a black reptile skin wide belt (unidentified).
She finished the look with her familiar TOUS cultured freshwater pearl drop earrings which have again become her favorite. She has worn the classic pearl drops on four out of six engagements this month.
