King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended an orchestral concert this evening at the Prince Felipe Auditorium in Oviedo.
The annual concert is the opening event for the Princess of Asturias Awards which are held over the next few days in Oviedo, the capital of the Principality of Asturias. King Felipe and Queen Letizia will deliver a series of prizes to individuals, entities or companies from around the world who make notable achievements in the sciences, humanities, and public affairs.
Their Majesties stopped to greet the crowd that had gathered outside the auditorium.
WHAT QUEEN LETIZIA WORE
DRESS: NEW! Emporio Armani Black Ruffle Side Dress (£550).
CLUTCH: Magrit 'Mary' black satin panel flap clutch bag (US$278). Queen Letizia also owns this style in red.
SHOES: NEW! Carolina Herrera black suede slingback pumps. Letizia also owns this style in nude patent, navy suede, and camel suede.
JEWELRY: Diamond chanton earrings and diamond bracelets from the "Joyas de pasar" - a collection of jewels designated by Queen Ena in her will for the select use of Spanish queens. First worn by Queen Letizia in February 2017.
We expected Queen Letizia to wear a number by her go-to designer Felipe Varela like she had done for the past four years since attending in her role as Queen consort. But this year she dropped the Spanish couturier in favor of an off-the-rack little black dress by Italian luxury brand Emporio Armani. Were you surprised by Queen Letizia's choice?
