The King and Queen of Spain returned to Madrid last week after a month-long summer break. Today, Queen Letizia joined her husband King Felipe for her first royal engagement of the new season.
The royal couple visited the Cervantes Institute in Madrid to preside over the commemoration of the birth of Camilo José Cela, a Spanish novelist and Nobel Laureate.
Queen Letizia opted for a familiar outfit, one she has worn on three previous occasions:
The outfit consists of the Carolina Herrera Flower Fil Coupe Party Skirt, a Felipe Varela solid navy silk blouse, Carolina Herrera navy suede strap sandals and Felipe Varela navy flap clutch.
She again wore the TOUS blue hydrothermal quartz and amber earrings with this recycled ensemble.
We will see Her Majesty again on Friday for an audience hearing at Zarzuela Palace.
