College President Dr. Eduardo J. Padrón presented His Majesty with the Presidential Medal, the College’s highest distinction. MDC’s Presidential Medal has been awarded to leaders and luminaries from across the world for their impactful contributions to humanity. Past recipients include President Barack Obama, Lech Walesa, Yoani Sanchez, Mikhail Gorbachev, Maya Angelou, Bill Clinton, Muhammad Yunus and Vaclav Havel, to name a few.
Following this event, the royal couple attended the presentation of the Spanish Film Festival at the Olympia Theatre in Miami.
Queen Letizia oozed 1920's glamour in a drop-waist beaded frock and fingerwave updo.
Queen Letizia revived a silver-blue Felipe Varela duster coat and dress set which we only got a glimpse of in March 2012, when she was photographed arriving to a friend's wedding.
Tonight, Queen Letizia carried a perfectly coordinated beaded clutch, also from Felipe Varela.
On her feet were the pewter Carolina Herrera thin strap sandals (Spring 2014 collection) which she debuted on Armed Forces Day in June this year.
Queen Letizia completed her Roaring 20's style with Yanes Citrine and diamond white gold earrings.
