The gown was made around 1948 for María Junyent, niece of the artist Oleguer Junyent, who lived very close to the designer's workshop in Barcelona. Crafted from silk tulle, the strapless gown showcases a mermaid silhouette with a ruched effect elegantly draped throughout the bodice.
