This public hospital, inaugurated on October 7, 1974, by then-Prince Juan Carlos and Princess Sofía, is Spain’s leading center for the treatment of spinal cord injuries. During their visit, the King and Queen toured the facilities, spoke with patients and medical staff, and learned about advancements in rehabilitation and research taking place at the hospital.
