On her last day in Cabo Verde, Queen Letizia started early with a working breakfast at the Presidential Palace alongside First Lady Débora Katisa Carvalho. In Assomada, Queen Letizia explored the Santa Catarina Employment and Vocational Training Center, welcomed by local leaders and gender equality advocates. She toured a classroom where around 30 women from various municipalities trained in domestic work, part of a program offering sewing, IT, and housework skills to survivors of gender-based violence and vulnerable women. The center also provides psychosocial support and reproductive health care to foster independent, violence-free lives.
Her final stop was the Amaranta Foundation, where she learned about the "Kredita na bo" project from its directors and educators. She visited its computer workshop, vegetable garden, and shelter, meeting beneficiaries and touring a cooking workshop led by chef Francisco Semedo.
