The event was hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, as they concluded their two-day state visit to Spain, bringing together dignitaries, diplomats, and members of both nations’ delegations.

For the occasion, Queen Letizia debuted a dress by French brand Sandro. She choose the label's 'Iceberg' Midi Dress, a sleeveless navy satin design featuring a crystal-embellished keyhole neckline and a ruched bodice.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted a State Gala Dinner on Tuesday evening at the Royal Palace of Madrid in honour of President Emmanuel Macron of France and his wife, Brigitte Macron, who are undertaking a two-day State Visit to Spain.

In the Throne Room, King Felipe and Queen Letizia welcomed greetings from the attending Spanish and French dignitaries and guests before proceeding to the Gala Dining Room for the banquet.

For the stately occasion, Queen Letizia debuted a Carolina Herrera embellished crêpe gown.

Rendered in a soft ‘Cloudy Blue’, the design features dramatic cape-effect sleeves that flow into a train, complemented by a sheer yoke adorned with intricate floral embellishments.

Queen Letizia chose the Floral Diamond Tiara, making its first appearance in more than three years since she last wore it at the Colombian State Gala Dinner in 2023. It has been one of her go-to diadems throughout her time as queen consort and Princess of Asturias.

Queen Letizia complemented the tiara with Queen Ena's joyas de pasar diamond chanton earrings. Adding further distinction to her look was the French Grand Cross of the Order of the Legion of Honour, bestowed upon her today.

On Tuesday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia welcomed President Emmanuel Macron of France and his wife, Brigitte Macron, to the Royal Palace in Madrid for an official welcome ceremony.

The French couple are on a two-day State Visit to Spain, aimed at highlighting and strengthening the ties and bilateral relations between the two countries. Below is a video of the welcome ceremony.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia then hosted a private luncheon for the Presidential couple at Zarzuela Palace.

On Friday, Queen Letizia inaugurated the 2026/2027 academic year for Vocational Training at IES Ribera del Tajo in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo.

After unveiling a plaque commemorating her visit, Queen Letizia toured the school and met with students, visiting the “Virtualia” soundproof booth and Data Processing Center, where she learned about the technology supporting its artificial intelligence and Big Data projects.

She then visited the cytodiagnostics and pathological anatomy laboratory, where students demonstrated tissue and organic sample analysis, before concluding in the company classroom with a presentation of the “SIMULA” project, which recreates the operation of a ceramic-sector company.

For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore her Hugo Boss linen-blend twill separates in 'light purple' featuring the BOSS 'Jopeta' Blazer paired with the BOSS 'Tefike' Trousers.

She paired it with her white Hugo Boss ‘Iyabo’ blouse. She owns both the sleeveless and long-sleeved versions, but it is unclear which one she wore on this occasion.

The Queen, who serves as Honorary President of the Spanish Association Against Cancer and the Spanish Association Against Cancer Scientific Foundation, has long supported cancer research and awareness initiatives.

The Queen stepped out in her beige Mirto pantsuit featuring a single-breasted blazer with peak lapels and coordinating straight-leg trousers.

She softened the tailored look with a new terracotta-hued Sézane 'Hana' ruffle shirt (US$165), adding contrast to the solid suit.

The Spanish monarchs were among the distinguished royal guests who gathered to pay their respects to the late king, who died on August 28 at the age of 89 after 35 years on the Norwegian throne.

The solemn day began with a ceremonial procession carrying King Harald’s coffin from the Royal Palace to Oslo Cathedral, where the funeral service was held. Following the service, the coffin was taken to Akershus Fortress for a private burial ceremony.
