SET: A bespoke pale dusty pink double-breasted jacket with a matching Chantilly lace midi dress by Felipe Varela.
FASHION FLASHBACK
Letizia has predominantly favored tailored designs by Felipe Varela for this annual national day event. In 2010, the then Princess of Asturias branched out and wore a relaxed pant and shawl ensemble. Letizia's smart casual approach didn't go down too well with everyone, and she has since rectified her faux pas in subsequent years.
It was a busy day for the Queen of Spain. Her Majesty first attended "World Mental Health Day" meetings in Madrid.
In the afternoon, she joined King Felipe to welcome the President of Chile, Sebastián Piñera Echenique and First Lady Cecilia Morel Montes at their home in the Palace of Zarzuela.
