The King and Queen of Spain attended the premiere of the opera 'Parténope', in three acts by Georg Friedrich Händel (1685-1759), co-produced by the English National Opera, the San Francisco Opera and the Opera Australia, at Teatro Real, Madrid.

Partenope was first performed at the King's Theatre in London on 24th February 1730. Although following the structure and forms of opera seria, the work is humorous in character and light-textured in music, with a plot involving romantic complications and gender confusion.
After the performance, Their Majesties were greeted by the artistic director of the Teatro Real, Joan Matabosch, and met with directors and artists of the Parténope opera.

In the opening speech, Her Majesty emphasised the need to connect all people since the digital divide "is a very fine line between being left out or not from access to many services, such as knowledge or education." In addition, she pointed out that ending this inequality is "an issue that has to do with human rights, as recognised by the United Nations."
During the panel 'The challenge of technological disruptors to include the excluded' Mats Granryd, GSMA CEO, stated “Despite the fact that 94% of the world's population lives in covered areas, 43% still do not access the internet. The challenge today is to close the digital usage gap, which is seven times larger than the coverage gap," he stressed that, "illiteracy and lack of digital skills, along with cost, remain the main barriers to accessing the internet."

Queen Letizia wore a crisp white cotton shirt with a concealed placket. It appears to be the same one she first wore inAugust 2018 when visiting King Juan Carlos in hospital.  She teamed it with khaki trousers and a python print belt. I will update the post if the pieces are identified.
