On Sunday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia attended the 80th anniversary commemoration of the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria.

They began by joining a solemn procession to the Memorial for Victims, walking alongside Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and his wife, Doris Schmidauer. Upon reaching the site, King Felipe and Queen Letizia laid a wreath in tribute to those who perished.

Afterward, Their Majesties proceeded to the museum's Temporary Exhibition Halls, where they signed the guest book and held a brief meeting with the President and First Lady..

Next, the Spanish monachs received greetings from the camp guide, Pedro Carmona, and began a tour of the Concentration Camp Museum facilities.

They laid wreaths at the plaques of the Generalitat of Catalonia and Spain, followed by tributes at the monuments to Spanish and French Republicans.

The King and Queen of Spain then proceeded to the Wiener Graben quarry and the harrowing "Stairway of Death," where countless prisoners were forced into brutal labor constructing camp facilities under Nazi rule. The visit concluded with a solemn reminder of the atrocities committed—underscoring the enduring call: "Never Again".

For the solemn commemoration, Queen Letizia wore a black Mango pantsuit with her Uterque blouse, Massimo Dutti heeled loafers, Carolina Herrera bag, and her Gold & Roses 'Shewel' Triple Hoops.
