On Wednesday, King Felipe and Queen Letizia joined Pope Leo XIV at the Basilica of La Sagrada Família in Barcelona.

The visit marked a profound double occasion: the exact centenary of visionary architect Antoni Gaudí’s death and the official blessing of the newly completed Tower of Jesus Christ. Standing at a monumental 172.5 meters and crowned with a four-armed cross, the tower's completion officially seals the Sagrada Família's status as the tallest church building in the world.

Following a private prayer at Gaudí’s tomb in the crypt, the Pope presided over a Solemn Mass before a congregation of 8,000 dignitaries and worshippers, while over 100,000 people lined the surrounding streets. Delivering his homily in both Spanish and Catalan, Pope Leo praised the basilica as an "eloquent catechesis made of stones, colors, and light," utilizing the architectural marvel to deliver a poignant global message of faith, unity, and peace.
Queen Letizia observed the privilège du blanc, the rare protocol allowing certain Catholic queens to wear white in the Pope’s presence.

She looked impeccably elegant in a bespoke white Redondo Brand pencil dress previously wore  to the Pope’s inaugural Mass at the Vatican in May 2025.

She accessorized the look with a matching white Magrit handbag and white snakeskin Magrit 'Carlota' slingback pumps—both recent additions debuted during this week's apostolic visit to Spain.

We saw the return of the tennis bracelet from Sunday's Holy Mass, and there appears to be a thin bracelet too.
The Queen finished the look with her TOUS baroque pearl drop earrings.

Polished and Perfect! I think I like this look most of all the 3 looks letizia wore during the Pope's visit.

This dress is every bit as perfect as the first time Letizia wore it, it's such a welcome relief to see a perfectly executed sheath with its clean lines, especially after the previous fussy fuschia Hugo Boss tier dress we commented on here.

This Redondo Brand pencil dress has been skilfully highlighted by the subtle gathering at the neckline which so elegantly breaks up the plain bodice, while creating an asymmetric neckline, almost in subversion of the clean lines of the column dress.

Otherwise the charming bracelet sleeves and slim waistband just finish it off perfectly. Love this boxy new bag and the white Magrit slingbacks are neat and unintrusive. The baroque pearl earrings are lovely and the whole look is a classic triumph.

The white dress is very elegant and stylish, quite chic. The white shoes don't appeal to me, I much prefer the beige shoes she wore last time. Her clutch is lovely. The pearl earrings, perfect choice, they look well matched with this dress. The bracelet is pretty.
