On Friday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia visited the island of La Palma to meet with residents still recovering from the devastation caused by the 2021 Tajogaite volcanic eruption.

Accompanied by local and regional officials, they began their tour at the official viewpoint, where they observed the lava-affected landscape and the ongoing reconstruction work.

Letizia looks well prepared for a trek over volcanic ground in her Adolfo Dominguez Cargo Jacket in its flattering dark neutral shade. Four patch pockets might come in handy too, but I'm not so sure about the gathered belt. The Princess of Wales had a stylish $2,600 Ralph Lauren cargo jacket in Scotland in April which I feel she quite pulled out of shape in her anxiety to tighten the waist. I wouldn't like Letizia to suffer the same fate. Her belt,however, hangs untidily loose, which also fails to flatter.

The white Mango jeans, layer top, and Vivobarefoot trainers also look well, if a tad less practical, with the jacket, giving contrast and character to the outfit. Those trusty Gold & Roses Shewel Triple hoops continue to deliver a regal sparkle in a discreet fashion as ever. I'm glad the royal couple took time to visit those still affected by the 2021 eruption.

This belted cargo jacket looks great, casual but smart. The white pants look good with the jacket.
