King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia travelled to Valencia on Sunday to visit areas impacted by the DANA, a cut-off low-pressure storm system responsible for severe flash flooding.
They were joined by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez for an update on the emergency response in the areas affected by the DANA, which devastated the province of Valencia on October 29 and has already claimed the lives of more than 210 people.
Their Majesties also took the time to speak directly with those affected by the devastating floods.
I’m aware of reports suggesting that Their Majesties were pelted with mud by disgruntled bystanders. However, from what I’ve gathered, the anger was not directed at the King and Queen, but primarily at government officials. Despite the tension, Their Majesties remained calm and dignified throughout, and the situation de-escalated once the Prime Minister left. The King and Queen chose not to cut their visit short and continued their engagement as planned.
For the visit, Queen Letizia wore a navy shell jacket over a dark denim shirt, paired with bootcut jeans and lace-up boots.. I'll update the post if the pieces are identified.

That's right and accurate, first time I write, the anger was against the government and its lacks of response, the thing is their majesties travelled with the Prime Minister who run away.

This post can't be about just fashion pieces, but instead has to be about the unbelievable courage and dignity with which both Felipe and Letizia stood their ground in the face of a hostile mob. The mob wasn't mad at them solely of course, but at the government and lack of delivery by rescue services in the wake of the terrible flooding which hit Valencia. If they could only give hugs then the Spanish royals were happy to give them to suffering residents, and the prestige of the monarchy has been enhanced by their selfless contribution.
