King Felipe and Queen Letizia presided over a tribute to the victims of the DANA storm on the first anniversary of the tragedy. The ceremony took place at the Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe, located within Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences complex.
Their Majesties met with representatives of the victims' families before the ceremony began, and later laid a floral tribute followed by a minute of silence. King Felipe closed with words of solidarity, and the ceremony concluded with a performance by the RTVE Orchestra and Choir of Joaquín Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez.”
For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore a dark blue Yolanda Guillen 'Letizia' Dress, a sophisticated and understated choice that reflected the solemn tone of the event.
She carried her Magrit ‘Mica’ Top Handle Bag in navy leather and completed the look with the matching Magrit ‘Clara’ Pumps.
The Queen completed the look with her elegant diamond and sapphire drop earrings.
