Queen Letizia attends Princess Leonor's military graduation in feminine Maje dress

On Wednesday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, accompanied by their youngest daughter, Infanta Sofía, presided over the ceremony for the presentation of Royal Dispatches and the appointment of new Army officers at the Zaragoza Military Academy.

The ceremony had a personal touch, with Princess Leonor being appointed as a cadet second lieutenant in the Army. King Felipe himself bestowed this honor upon his daughter and also awarded her the Grand Cross of Military Merit.

Frome the few pictures I saw of this event I was worried about Sofia as there was no sign of her! I'm delighted to catch up with her now as part of the main line-up in her snazzy striped asymmetric dress neatly underlined by black flats.

I love Letizia's dress, despite it having more smocking, after the earlier Adolfo Dominguez we saw her in here. At least this one from Maje is not overdone and in a more conventional light summer print. I'm not a fan of tiered skirts but this is sweet, delightful, and very summery. The pleated clutch and pave sandals are just right this time, and I''m happy to see the Queen break out the fun Almond Flower earrings again.

Very touching to see the King make the awards personally to Leonor.

Letizia's dress is amazing. The unusual fabric and design is really captivating. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but the way the tiered skirt is designed is very well done. The pattern is arranged so that the print is the same throughout and flows in the same direction as the bodice.

This dress pattern is like a work of art. The pattern is amazing throughout so beautifully constructed and done brilliantly.
I don’t normally like tiered dresses or smocking for that matter but the pattern is a real distraction for me from both those features.I really like this dress.
The earrings are very effective.
