On Thursday, Queen Letizia visited the Dexeus Mujer Foundation at Dexeus University Hospital in Barcelona, where she presented the XIX Dexeus Mujer Awards. The event also marked the celebration of the Foundation's 30th anniversary.

The international award, presented annually since 2004, recognizes individuals, teams, or institutions whose professional achievements or research have made significant contributions to the field of Health Sciences, particularly concerning women's health, with a focus on Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Medicine.
This year, the award was bestowed upon Professor Arri Coomarasamy in honor of his remarkable contributions to preventing miscarriages and reducing maternal mortality during childbirth.
