On Friday, Queen Letizia visited the Adolfo Domínguez fashion house to mark its 50th anniversary.

She travelled to the firm’s facilities at the San Cibrao das Viñas industrial park in Ourense, where she celebrated the milestone with the Spanish fashion label as it commemorates five decades of history.

Founded in Spain in 1976, Adolfo Domínguez emerged onto the Spanish fashion scene with a signature approach to understated elegance that continues to define the brand today. The company positions itself as a leader in premium contemporary fashion, blending a distinctive aesthetic with artistic and avant-garde influences while maintaining a long-standing commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.

Queen Letizia has been a longtime supporter of the brand, wearing Adolfo Domínguez designs for decades, making the visit a fitting choice. As expected, she chose an Adolfo Domínguez design for the occasion, wearing the brand's cotton ruched printed dress.

She also carried a beige-toned Adolfo Domínguez leather shoulder handbag. The style is from a past season (circa 2021) and is no longer available in the brand's current collection.

On her feet were a new pair of taupe Massimo Dutti Embossed Animal-Print Leather Sandals.

Queen Letizia finished the look with her Gold & Roses 'Shewel' Triple Hoops.

This is a beautiful dress, I like the style, color and design. The muted colors, I find very attractive. The ruched effect I feel is a very nice addition adding interest, its different. Her bag and shoes look lovely.

It's great to see some skillfully executed ruching instead of some of the more crude examples where the same has been attempted via common elastication,

The fit and design of this dress is very attractive especially the gathering in the middle of the bodice and the cap sleeves. I like the originality of the multi-colour print of the fabric. It is unlike anything I have seen before.

I fell in love with this Adolfo Dominguez dress at first sight, I'm a fan of its full-skirted 50s vibes. The summery V-neck is so pretty and equally so the front bodice ruching so well done, and more ruching hard to see in photos at the hips, with a further hint at the cap sleeves. The soft pastels used in the print are charming and the full pleated flare of the skirt must be a treat to wear.

The beige toned Dominguez bag is a lovely match and I'm really taken with the vamped up style of footwear, certainly compared to some of Letizia's recent choices. The embossed animal leather is a most interesting contrast in texture to the dress.

The Gold & Roses Triple Shewel Hoops are as lovely and reliable as ever. The whole outfit makes a wonderful tribute to the designer for the design house 50th anniversary.
