On Thursday, the King and Queen of Spain brought their three-day State Visit to China to a close. The final day began with separate engagements: Queen Letizia visited Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), where she joined students at an event celebrating Spanish language and culture.

She met students and veteran professors, paid tribute to the Latin American and Spanish academics who pioneered Hispanic studies in China after 1949, and signed the Book of Honour. The event highlighted Spain’s cultural priority in China, where 60,000 people now study Spanish and BFSU remains the country’s oldest such department.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia then hosted a reception for the Spanish community living in China at Beijing’s Regent Hotel.

More than 5,000 Spaniards are registered with Spain’s five consulates in China—the latest established in Chengdu in 2022—and are primarily based in major cities.
Following the reception, Their Majesties proceeded to Beijing Capital International Airport, departing for Spain and concluding their State Visit to the People’s Republic of China.

On the final day of the State Visit, Queen Letizia adopted a sharp, business-like silhouette in a tailored burgundy pantsuit: a single-breasted blazer fastened with a gold dome button and straight-leg trousers finished with subtle side slits. The designer remains unidentified.

She paired the suit with a black pussy-bow blouse, first seen in 2024 at a reception at the Royal Palace of El Pardo. The designer of the blouse remains unidentified.

Accessories were kept sleek and classic: the ever-present Carolina Herrera Victoria Insignia black satchel and custom Magrit black leather pumps with their distinctive low heel and decorative buckle.

Queen Letizia already owns a pantsuit by Bleis that’s nearly identical to this one, so it’s unclear why another was needed. The black pussy-bow blouse adds some interest and lends a feminine touch to the ensemble, but overall it’s still quite a dull look.

The pantsuit is superb in style, fit and colour. But the tie blouse or top inside doesn't provide any interest or contrast. The black against the burgundy is very dull.

I love the feminine blouse, the black blouse is effective with this deep colored burgundy pantsuit. The pantsuit fits well, the blazer especially looks great. Love the color of her accessories. The sugar earrings are a nice size.

Letizia looks great in this sharp pantsuit, the colour is lovely on her, and the single breasted jacket is lean and smart especially with narrow leg pants. The black lavaliere blouse is a truly smart way to adopt a classic accessory style while giving it an edge with colour.

The black accessories are just right and the Herrera satchel retains its style while being practical, likewise the low Magrit pumps are so good with the narrow leg pants especially with their subtle self-colour buckle. The Pdpaula sugar earrings add a perfect touch of enlivening gold against the monochrome and chime nicely with the single gold button of the suit jacket.

Will there be no tiara post from the China tour?

China is a communist republic country, you must be careful about their culture.
Also, Letizia only wears tiara at home (in Spain), when the other country is a Republic, you have an example with Argentina or Germany.

Oops, my bad. Clearly in need of my afternoon nap.
