Queen Letizia Dazzles in Carolina Herrera at Princess of Asturias Awards Concert

The Spanish royal family arrived in Oviedo on Thursday to take part in the annual Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony.

King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, and their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, attended the 33rd Princess of Asturias Awards Concert at the Príncipe Felipe Auditorium on 23 October 2025.

Queen Letizia showcased her signature blend of elegance and modernity in a Carolina Herrera ensemble. She wore an embellished-sleeve top paired with black high-waisted trousers.

The new top features a navy-blue crepe base contrasted by a black satin point collar, while the short sleeves are adorned with black beaded tassels. The piece may be a bespoke design, as the exact style does not appear in any Carolina Herrera collection. However, UFO No More identified a dress featuring the same embellished sleeves.

The trousers are Carolina Herrera’s Stretch-Cotton Twill High-Waisted style, first worn by the Queen in 2021 for the opening night of the opera Parténope.

She arrived wearing a black overcoat, possibly her Carolina Herrera Maxi Wool Coat, and carrying her Felipe Varela satin clutch.

Queen Letizia kept her jewelry understated, opting for only a pair of small diamond studs.

I like the clever use of beading on the sleeves of the CH top. It's very interesting and unique style.

I love this blouse, its edgy and different in a great way. Love the beading of the sleeves, the black collar is very effective. The combination of blue and black gorgeous. Love this ensemble, she looks fabulous. The black pants in this instance look good and fit well. Love her accessory color. Her small diamond stud's perfect choice.

Queen Letizia's outfit is spot-on and perfectly suited to the occasion, as is Sofia's. Princess Leonor, however, looks out of place in an ensemble better suited to someone twice her age.

I love the pairing of the beaded sleeve top with high waist trousers. It's so typical of Letizia to bring a contemporary and fresh twist to outfits for formal occasions without loss of dignity or elegance.

If both pieces are Carolina Herrera then kudos to the designer. The black satin pointed collar is sweet on that top before it descends to the more mysterious beaded fringes. Her low heels work well under the wide pant legs.

I love Leonor's Armani jacket, a truly classy pick by her and working well with plain navy pants. Sophie seems fond of halterneck styles and this one is made elegant in black for the Hugo Boss jumpsuit. I love how the pretty straps of her slingbacks offer contrast to the plain fabric at her feet.
