On Tuesday, King Felipe and Queen Letizia presided over the 2024 Premio Planeta de Novela ceremony, hosted at the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya in Barcelona, as part of a dinner marking Grupo Planeta's 75th anniversary.

The Premio Planeta de Novela is the world's most lucrative literary award for an author or book, offering a prize of €1,000,000 to the winner. Established in 1952 by José Manuel Lara Hernández, the award is presented annually on October 15, which coincides with St. Teresa's Day—a tribute to Lara's wife, Teresa.

Queen Letezia is a very beautiful woman. Her sense of style is incomparable. She is a master at combining great fashion and jewels that complement each other and do not overwhelm her or her outfits. Recently I have the feeling she has been trying too hard to present an ever more youthful appearance. Her current tan belies the month of October. The amount of skin she is displaying is over the top. This most recent ensemble would have been perfection if the bodice had been an half of inch higher. And a deep tan in October is over the top. Letizia is a beautiful woman and a very regal queen, she does not need to go to such extremes to display that

I looked over Letizia's outfits over the past few months and I don't see her displaying any skin. For the past year she has been mostly covered up. The one exception may be this CH dress which for evening attire is quite conservative and modest.

This is a fantastic dress on Letizia and an outstanding look for her. Carolina Herrera has managed to combine two Letizia favourites, a sundress strap top plus monochrome with the use of silver embellishment stripes on black. The whole is a perfect setting for the fabulous Cartier bracelet and the chunky diamond chaton earrings.
I continue to be impressed at how there is little sacrifice of glamour from wearing the kitten heel Massimo Dutti slingbacks and the Felipe Varela silk clutch is perfect for emphasising the defining broad black band of fabric which secures the base of the dress without reducing the style to a mere repetition of parallel silvery lines.

This is a glamorous evening gown. I appreciate the silver horizontal stripes that contrast with the black border at the bottom. It was wise not to cover the entire dress with the stripes which would have been overwhelming.

She looks sensational, love, love! this dress. The sparkling embellishments is a clever addition and very effective. The bracelet and diamond earrings are superb. Perfect choices.
