Queen Letizia Dazzles in Feathered Flutter-Sleeve Ensemble for Dinner with President Xi Jinping11/11/2025
Shortly after landing in Beijing, King Felipe and Queen Letizia concluded the first day of their State Visit to China with a private dinner hosted by President Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan.
A short video captures the President and First Lady welcoming Their Majesties to Zhongnanhai, the central headquarters of China’s government and the official residence of the country’s leaders.
For the dinner, Queen Letizia brought back the olive-green flutter-sleeve dress she first wore to the Princess of Asturias Awards Concert in 2021 (shown below). Featuring tonal feathers along the side slit, the designer of the piece remains unknown.
On her feet were the Magrit 'Mar' Slingback Pumps in Gold Leather.
The Queen appears to have accessorised with gold hoops.
While the front view gives the impression that Queen Letizia has trimmed her hair to shoulder length, the side view shows her long tresses cascading down as usual.

I’m glad you mentioned Queen Letizia’s hair, because I honestly thought she’d cut it to shoulder length! I was actually hoping she had — it gives her hair more body at that length and frames her face beautifully.

I also thought the styling was different and that the Queen had cut her hair. The front shorter pieces look great, I prefer her hair shorter. Adds more depth and Imo suits her better.

I'm glad Letizia found another occasion on which to feature this unusual dress, I've had time to get used to the idea of tonal feathers from the waist down. I don't particularly like the basic silhouette as the flutter sleeves seem too big and unorganised on the bodice, but the interruption of the feathers on the skirt slit is fun and enlivening and brings verve to the garment. The neckline is a very pretty cut and the gold Magrit slingbacks tone well with the main olive shade.
