On Friday, King Felipe and Queen Letizia travelled to Belgium to attend the closing ceremony of the 2024/2025 academic year at the College of Europe, on the occasion of its 75th anniversary.

The College of Europe, founded in 1949 following the 1948 Hague Congress, was created to promote European unity and reconciliation after World War II. Backed by leaders like Churchill and Spaak, it opened its first campus in Bruges, Belgium, and later expanded to Natolin, Poland, in 1992. The College offers postgraduate programs in law, politics, economics, and international relations, with many alumni going on to serve in top roles within European institutions and governments.

The dress is gorgeous especially the unusual violet or periwinkle colour. It's a very simple design elevated by the ties on the sleeves.
The camel accessories compliment the dress perfectly. One of my top ten best outfits of 2025.

This dress is a beautiful colour, but other than that it is quite boring and would benefit from a brooch or necklace to add some interest. I don't care for the ties on the sleeves, which have no purpose and look like an afterthought. The shoes and bag are of superb quality, but I would have preferred navy blue accessories with this blue dress. The earrings are stunning.

This Carolina Herrera dress looks more flattering in the side shot than the unforgiving flat bright light of the front view line-up. It's a lovely design but I'm not sure that low nude pumps work best with its midi hemline.

The sleeve-tie feature is a great way to break up the plain fabric of the well-fitted sheath, and the camel top-handle Magrit bag and Carlota slingback beige pumps work well colour-wise against the delphinium shade of the dress. They make for good summer accessories.

The diamond and sapphire drop earrings work really well here too, adding just the right touch of royal bling.
