On Wednesday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia made an official visit to Guadalupe, in the province of Cáceres, as part of the celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the King’s proclamation.
During their visit, the King and Queen were welcomed at the Guadalupe Town Hall, where the mayor, José Miguel Martín, presented the King with the town’s ceremonial staff. Both royals signed the town’s guest book and greeted residents from the balcony, receiving a warm welcome from the locals.
Afterwards, they visited the Fray Sebastián García Day Centre and Residence for the Elderly. The King and Queen spent time with the residents and staff, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to social care and community engagement.
The highlight of the trip was a visit to the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. Originally built as a small chapel in the late 13th century and expanded in the 14th century, the monastery has been the site of historic moments — including the audience where the Catholic Monarchs offered Christopher Columbus the ships for his voyage to the New World.
The visit highlighted the Spanish Crown’s dedication to maintaining close ties with communities and celebrating the nation’s rich historical and cultural heritage.

I think the floral print of this dress is overwhelming Letizia. Blue compliments yellow and orange very well but there is something about this print that just doesn't grab me. Maybe there are too many flowers or it could be that the dress is too long. If it's shortened 6 or 8 inches it would look better. I like the way she rolled up the sleeves and the blue purse and earrings are lovely.

I love this dress. The style, design and colors of the dress. It fits well and has nice movement in the skirt. Love the blue splash of color with her clutch. The shoes in this instance work in well. This was a wonderful visit.

I love the print on this Yolanda Guillen dress, blues and orange make a bold contrast on the white background. The bold blue of the Adolfo Domiguez clutch is perfect, but maybe not so much the Calzados Picon espadrilles. It's a shoe style that looks clunky at the best of times, but coming in pale cream only makes them more so. I notice the studio shot shows footwear that tones with darker neutral colours.
