On Tuesday, the King and Queen of Spain, joined by their eldest daughter, Princess Leonor, undertook their first public engagement of 2026.
They presided over the traditional celebration of the Pascua Militar. This event is deeply rooted in the Spanish military and dates back to 1782 during the reign of Carlos III. The ceremony is held annually on the day of Epiphany at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
Following the parade, King Felipe, Queen Letizia and Princess Leonor proceeded to the Palace’s Throne Room to meet with officials from the Government, the Ministry of Defence and the Civil Guard.
Queen Letizia debuted a Nina Ricci ensemble, combining a white plissè silk blouse with a black column skirt, in keeping with the tradition for royal women to wear full-length silhouettes for the Pascua Militar ceremony.
For the outdoor parade, she layered up in a black Carolina Herrera wrap cape.
She arrived carrying her black Carolina Herrera Victoria Insignia Satchel Bag.
On Letizia's feet, were the Magrit 'Clara' Pumps in Black Leather.
Her Majesty finished the look with a new pair of TOUS diamond earrings from the Atelier collection. Priced at US $2,000, the design draws inspiration from city lights at dusk, capturing the contrast and energy of urban nightlife.

I find this white silk blouse very attractive, interesting features, its unusual. The black column skirt I like and kitten heels in this instance look fine. Her bag is lovely. The Tous diamond earrings are beautiful.

We are starting off the 2026 on a more positive note. I like this outfit. It is simple and elegant. The blouse is beautiful and looks great with the long pencil skirt.

The blouse is stunning, paired perfectly with the clean lines of the black column skirt. The understated accessories work well with the look, although pearl earrings could have elevated it further. Still, these new TOUS earrings are a lovely addition.

A truly classic look in black and white from Letizia this year, but with a delightful twist in the plisse Nina Ricci blouse. The blouse looks innocent enough from the front, but only shows off its wild side once the width of the sleeves is revealed and the extraordinary fanning out at the cuff where Letizia lifts her arm in the fourth photo.
