On Thursday, Queen Letizia hosted audiences at Zarzuela Palace.
She first received the creative team and protagonists of the documentary The Grandchildren of Silence, an audiovisual project produced by young journalists and communicators that brings together the testimonies of the grandsons and granddaughters of victims of ETA terrorism.
She then met with representatives from the BBVA Microfinance Foundation (FMBBVA) and a group of scholarship recipients, who shared how the scholarships are helping them continue their education and pursue careers in fields including education, engineering, healthcare, and technology.
For the day's audiences, Queen Letizia brought back her navy Antik Batik 'Dalli' Embroidered Maxi Dress, first worn at the Women, Sport and Society colloquium in September 2025.
On her feet were her recently acquired Calzados Picon Black Espadrille Wedges.
She finished the look with her Isabel Guarch 'Vents' Earrings featuring a wind rose motif with a central brilliant-cut diamond.

Its fabulous to see a rewear of this Navy embroidered dress. The skirt has nice movement in the skirt of the dress. The nicely added white embroidered pieces at the shoulder add interest to this dress as is the white piping of the armpits, nice feature.

I was no fan of this Antik Batik dress the first time it was worn and haven't changed my opinion in the meantime. Obviously it works well in a work context, it is a sober colour with only discreet embellishment, it is just a problem for me that I grew tired of tiered skirts when I first saw them back in the 1970s and am not inclined to welcome their return no matter how popular they are this time. I can at least remember the fun of wearing them so understand them catching on again now.
