On Tuesday, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended the institutional ceremony commemorating the 47th anniversary of Spain’s 1978 Constitution at the Cortes Generales in Madrid.
This week marks a historic milestone, as the 1978 Constitution has officially surpassed the 1876 Constitution in longevity, becoming the longest-serving Fundamental Law in Spain’s history.
Following the institutional event, Their Majesties inaugurated the exhibition ‘The Spanish Constitution of 1978: Our Longest-Lasting Constitution. A Project, a Consensus, a Country of Rights and Freedoms’.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia revisited her navy tweed skirt suit, first worn in February 2025 for a luncheon with the President of Egypt (shown below).
She coordinated the look with tonal navy leather accessories, carrying her Magrit 'Mica' Top Handle Bag and pairing it with the matching Magrit 'Clara' Pumps.
The Queen finished the ensemble with her aquamarine and diamond hoop earrings by Aldao Joyeros.

I love all navy and this is a very chic look. However, it is a tad plain. Therefore I like the previous wearing, with the brooch for interest.

Such a cute suit, a real classic, and the navy looks so well on Letizia. I love the jacket detailing with the front placket down to the waist wit the neat peplum just separating below it. The cuffed bracelet sleeves are charming adding a softening touch from the more businesslike aspects like the sharp pointed collar.
