Both the dress and cape are asymmetrical and when worn together they create a rather 'messy' look that is hard on the eyes. It's also a lot of material enveloping small, slim Letizia. The dress is nice but unfortunately I couldn't find any pictures showing it on it's own so it's hard to say how it looked on Letizia.

There is so much fabric in the skirt of this dress that Letizia looks swamped. The cape adds to the volume. It is somewhat confusing as the skirt look to be long on one side and short on the other side for Letizia. The model's skirt is long on both side and shorter in the middle.
Whatever, this is not a flattering look.

The pairing of the new red asymmetric 2nd Skin Dress with the lovely Carolina Herrera fur collar cape is a miss for me. Just too many dipping hemlines altogether, and looking messy. I have to admit that such an idiosyncratic outfit might have some sort of place alongside the curious academic garb that her husband is obliged to wear to receive his honorary doctorate -- not least the extraordinary hat he acquired at one point.

But I can't support this particular mix on Letizia, even though she has gamely matched colours with the King. Even the dress on its own looks to have too much going on with its see-saw hem. The burgundy Magrit Clara pumps continue to give good service and those ruby cabochon and diamond drop earrings remain as fabulous as ever. Any excuse to wear those again is welcome by me.

The Queen looks lovely, but I am not keen on this outfit. The skirt of the dress, is overwhelming her petite frame. I dislike the Asymmetrical hem, it just looks a mess in this case. Likewise on the model.
The black cape looks lovely. Her earrings are gorgeous. I do like the color of her shoes and clutch.
