With that, Queen Letizia concluded her trip, shining a light on initiatives empowering women and youth across Cabo Verde.
On her last day in Cabo Verde, Queen Letizia started early with a working breakfast at the Presidential Palace alongside First Lady Débora Katisa Carvalho. They discussed childhood issues—special needs, speech disabilities, deafness, and autism—as well as women’s challenges, including cancer, addiction, and menstrual health.
Next, she visited the "Fazenda Esperança" Therapeutic Community in Trindade along with the First Lady and Father Ronaldo. There, she met young trainees working to prevent teen drug addiction.
In Assomada, Queen Letizia explored the Santa Catarina Employment and Vocational Training Center, welcomed by local leaders and gender equality advocates. She toured a classroom where around 30 women from various municipalities trained in domestic work, part of a program offering sewing, IT, and housework skills to survivors of gender-based violence and vulnerable women. The center also provides psychosocial support and reproductive health care to foster independent, violence-free lives.
Her final stop was the Amaranta Foundation, where she learned about the "Kredita na bo" project from its directors and educators. She visited its computer workshop, vegetable garden, and shelter, meeting beneficiaries and touring a cooking workshop led by chef Francisco Semedo.

Queen Letizia wore the white Spanish Cooperation shirt and red vest, paired with beige pants and her Vivobarefoot Tracker FG Boots.

I miss when Queen Letizia showcased her personal style instead of the standard Spanish Cooperation uniform. I get it—she wants the spotlight on the projects, not her wardrobe. But whether we like it or not, her unique fashion choices draw more media buzz, amplifying the causes she champions. Sticking to the same outfit blurs one trip into the next, and honestly, I think it dims the impact and attention these initiatives deserve.

I agree, Milly. I thought one of Letizia's main roles was to showcase Spanish fashion. She is missing a valuable opportunity. I'm not sure what the purpose of the red vest is. She has worn it 4 days in a row. Maybe I'm mistaken but she seems to be the only royal who wears it. However, I noticed the First Lady has on a very interesting top. The unusual sleeves are eye-catching. She looks great.
