On Wednesday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia presided over the annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Instituto Cervantes at the Royal Palace of El Pardo in Madrid.

During the event, they presented the 2024 "Ñ Award" to South Korean Hispanist Park Chul, recognizing his significant contributions to promoting the Spanish language internationally.

The meeting was attended by notable figures, including Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares, Culture Minister Ernest Urtasun, and Instituto Cervantes Director Luis García Montero, among others.

In Spain It is very common to wear burgundy with pink, not red obviously.

Well as the title suggests, this is not exactly red with pink, but rather burgundy with pink. They do go together and the ruby earrings enhance the colour combo.

The purple and pink combination is certainly striking as Letizia seeks to upgrade this Hugo Boss pantsuit for another outing. I find it an odd shade of colour, but although the jacket is quite baggy falling right over her hips, the pants are mercifully tapered so the whole is not overwhelming.

I think the burgundy accessories make this outfit, especially the fabulous Ruby Cabochon Drop Earrings. The Magrit Clara pumps are really sweet and the Lea clutch helps pull the whole look together

This is a color combination I never would have considered! It’s the perfect trans-seasonal mix—ideal for when it’s not quite spring, but you’re ready to incorporate lighter tones while the deep burgundy adds a grounding touch.

I would never have put these colors together, but it looks so good, I would wear this combination. Love the color of her shoes. Her earrings look wonderful.
