On Thursday, Queen Letizia visited the Civil Guard Officers’ Academy in Aranjuez to mark the tenth anniversary of the inauguration of its current headquarters.

The academy serves as a leading centre for the training of future Civil Guard commanders and plays a key role in instilling the institution’s core values: service, professionalism, leadership, and commitment to society.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia dug deep into her wardrobe and revived her white Felipe Varela dress, first worn in October 2017 for the presentation of the Rey Jaime I Prizes.

Today, she accessorised with black leather pieces, cinching her waist with the Hugo Boss 'Amie' belt, carrying her Carolina Herrera Victoria Insignia Satchel bag, and stepping out in Magrit 'Carlota' slingback leather pumps.

Such a flattering silhouette and I'm so in awe that Queen Letizia can fit in dresses that are nearly a decade old!

I believe it's a new pair of Magrit shoes. The heel is not one color.

I think it's a bespoke, black version of Magrit Carlota in Marron.

You're right! They may be made from shiny black leather, rather than patent leather. They are definitely not the same pump!

Letizia also changed the buttons for a more discreet version in white!

It's heavenly to see Letizia back in this trusty Varela dress, the fit, cut, and finish immediately make it stand out from many of the other brands she tries out. The businesslike collar and front bodice buttons, plus buttons on the pocket flaps all align with the military context of the civil guard officers. I much regret that present attitudes conspire to keep Letizia away from being able to use such quality outfits, though this of course is eminently acceptable as an eco-conscious repeat.

The black accessories point up the outfit nicely, the Hugo Boss belt giving welcome definition amid the cream, the Magrit Carlota slingbacks look delightful and fresh with this hem length, and the black Carolina Herrera Insignia Satchel bag is businesslike while still in keeping with the dress.

I like how the dress benefits from the softly textured fabric, adding a feminine vibe in a military setting, along with the charming bracelet sleeves. Silver hoops with pearl drops are the perfect accessories adding their own elegant decoration discreetly.

This fitted tweed dress is lovely, one of the nicer outfits, I have seen the Queen wear of late. I just love this tweed fabric, the texture is wonderful. I like the addition of the thin black belt on this occasion. Her black bag and shoes look good. Love the pearl earrings, lovely.
