The Spanish royal family has made their annual summer trip to Mallorca, where they will attend official events before having a private vacation. On Sunday evening, Queen Letizia presided over the closing ceremony of the 14th edition of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest at the La Misericordia Cultural Center in Palma.

Launched in 2011, Atlàntida Film Fest was Spain's pioneering online platform dedicated to showcasing the finest international films overlooked by traditional cinemas. During the ceremony, American actor and film producer, Michael Douglas was presented the Masters of Cinema Awards.

Not a fan of this dress, as it looks like a slip that you'd wear under a dress. It is also somewhat risque for a Royal to wear....although Letizia certainly has the body to show it off. I like the shoes.

I thought slip dresses had been round for a while now and were pretty much a standard in their own right. I find the slip effect skilfully executed by Hugo Boss and the double spaghetti straps. The shoes are great fun, that ankle strap is very neat.

This dress is too shiny and looks too much like a slip/lingerie. However, I do love the geometric earrings and the lovely metallic sandals. It's great to see Michael Douglas standing next to Letizia. He is one of my all time favorite actors.

I've been waiting for this dress to appear on our blog as I think it's wonderful and one of Letizia's best. It's so simple and classic and stylish and it admirably showcases the Queen on her red carpet moment next to Hollywood star Michael Douglas.

I completely admire the skill of Hugo Boss working with such a fabric as it's one I couldn't manage more than half a dozen stitches in without terrible rumpling effects. The satin seams here are smooth and perfect. I love the classic sheath which Letizia can wear so well, and the clever way the double spaghetti straps have been included to convey a boho theme within a conventional setting.

A slip dress is not a style everyone can carry off, but Letizia looks completely at home in it. The silver mesh clutch and Mango block heel sandals look to be a slight colour mismatch with the pinkish dress, but that to me is part of the offbeat appeal.

I have often admired Letizia's caution with jewellery, I think it's admirable, and I welcome the statement earrings minus any further clutter at neck or wrist. The sharp angles of the Barbara Geonaga earrings perfectly offset the limp, sensual fluidity of the dress. This is definitely how to sell your local film festival.

This slip dress suits the Queen well, she looks lovely, but its not a style that I like at all. It reminds me of a night slip. The material is too shiny for me.
The silver sandals look great and suit the ensemble.

P. S, Michael Douglas is one of my favorite actors!
