Since its inaugural edition on May 4, 1976, the newspaper has evolved into a vital chronicle of social evolution across Spain and Latin America. To mark this half-century milestone, El País has launched a year-long global program of cultural events, specifically dedicated to the readers who have sustained its legacy for five decades.
For the event, Queen Letizia revisited a standout piece from her wardrobe: the elegant black off-the-shoulder crepe dress she originally debuted during the Expat Reception on the first day of her State Visit to Egypt.  At the time, it was reported the dress was by Mango, but that was never confirmed.

Queen Letizia elevated her ensemble with significant pieces from the royal vault, most notably a diamond collet necklace from the collection of Queen Ena. First debuted by Letizia at Emperor Naruhito’s 2019 enthronement, the necklace was paired with the historic joyas de pasar diamond chaton earrings, adding a layer of storied glamour to her look.

Completing her look with modern sophistication, the Queen carried a crystal-embellished Aquazzura "Very Bow Tie" clutch and stepped out in sleek leather slingback pumps by Massimo Dutti.

WOW, serious jewels, way more than Letizia usually wears. She looks very sophisticated. The dress is so elegant.

I like the off the shoulder look of this gown. I'm so happy to see Letizia wearing a beautiful necklace which is very rare for her. The earrings are also gorgeous.

Its lovely to see a rewear of this black off the shoulder dress, the style and shape suits the Queens shape, its modest, and elegant. I prefer this wear as opposed to the first time she wore this dress in public. Her jewel choice is perfection. The Diamond collet necklace is outstanding, as is the beautiful diamond chaton earrings, a size of substance, plenty of sparkle emanating from these stunning earrings. It really elevated the overall look. A diamond bracelet would have been the perfect finishing touch.
The black accessories look great. I especially love the crystal embellished bow tie clutch, this is gorgeous. Her black shoes, perfect finishing touch. Really lovely presentation by the Queen, its marvelous to see her wearing jewels on this occasion from the Royal vault.

Gotta love this outfit with those stonking diamonds, hooray for Queen Ena. Only Letizia could pull off this look with priceless bling and a humble Mango dress, but she looks wonderful and classy for the El Pais anniversary.

The classic off-shoulder black sheath possibly from Mango is a terrific style on Letizia, fitting her like a glove. I wonder if the price point is revealed in the relative clumsiness of the hang of the skirt and finish of the hem, but it works wonderfully well for news photos.

The diamond collet necklace looks fabulous with its incredible stones, and the joyas de pasar chaton earrings are simply the icing on the cake. Letizia's hair has been beautifully waved adding to the excellence of the outfit. The length of the dress skirt is feminine and lovely and looks very well with the Massimo Dutti slingbacks and matching Aquazzura clutch. Letizia at her very best here.

I have no words for how much I adore these diamonds. Only Queen Letizia could make such extraordinary royal heirlooms feel so effortlessly modern, pairing them with a beautifully simple dress and letting the jewels take centre stage. It’s the perfect balance of understated elegance and regal glamour.
