On Wednesday, Queen Letizia attended the official presentation of the “Alliance for Wool” as part of the Madrid Design Festival 2026 programme.
The “Alliance for Wool” is an initiative dedicated to promoting Spanish wool through a contemporary, design-led lens. Following the project’s official launch, Queen Letizia toured the exhibitions and installations showcasing the innovation and craftsmanship behind the initiative.
For the event, Queen Letizia aptly chose an ensemble by Oteyza—the avant-garde Spanish label known for reinterpreting classic tailoring with a strong emphasis on Merino wool.
The navy suit is crafted from Historic Spanish Extra-Fine Merino R8—considered the pinnacle of merino wool quality—and features a sleek, lapel-less double-breasted jacket paired with straight-leg trousers. The jacket design is based on the ‘Almanzor’ style (€1,195) available in the current ready-to-wear menswear collection.
The pussy-bow blouse is also by Oteyza.
During the event, Queen Letizia posed for a photo with the brand's founders, Paul García de Oteyza and Caterina Pañeda.
She completed the look with her Sure Jewels 'Nanuk' Long Golden Earrings.

I've never been a fan of bows. There is something clownish about them. But I like how the designer allowed the lapels of the blazer to accomodate the bow so it fits in nicely. I think it looks better buttoned up.

The blouse is lovely, feminine and elegant. There is something about the jacket, I'm not exactly sure that doesn't sit right with me. The pants look good and fit well. The long golden earrings, are gorgeous.

I dislike the bow on the blouse. The cut of the jacket is very odd. In the first photo with the jacket buttoned, Letizia looks 23 kgs / 50 pounds heavier than she is.
