On Monday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia hosted an official luncheon at the Royal Palace in honour of Portugal’s newly elected President, António José Seguro, and First Lady, Margarida Maldonado Freitas.
The presidential couple is undertaking an introductory visit to Spain following the President’s election earlier this year.
The Queen wore a refined blush pink sheath dress of unknown designer, featuring a soft bateau neckline with a subtle fold-over collar. The tailored silhouette is finished with three-quarter length sleeves and a clean, midi-length hem for an elegant, timeless look.
When greeting the President and First Lady outside the Palace, Queen Letizia carried her pink Carolina Herrera 'Victoria' Insignia Mini Bag.
Complementing the bag was a new pair of Carolina Herrera ‘Lacito Insignia’ 20 slingback pumps, distinguished by their low 20mm heel and elegant grosgrain double-bow detail across the vamp.
Feminine finishing touches came in the form of her Yanes flower stud earrings, paired with a coordinating ring worn on her wedding ring finger.

Whoever designed this dress did a fabulous job. I love everything about it. The pastel pink colour, the unusual neckline and the cuffed, 3/4 length sleeves. The fit is perfect and Letizia looks great.

This is a very feminine look for Letizia. The dress is uncomplicated, but elegant. The bowed, pink shoes are adorable.

This is a beautiful pale pink dress, one of the nicest dresses I have ever seen the Queen wear in a while. I like the style, fit and length of this dress. The shaped neckline and fold over collar is very appealing to me and adding interest to this dress. The cuff features of the sleeves I also find attractive and interesting. The color of this dress is very pretty. I love her CH mini bag, this is gorgeous. Her sling back pumps are divine, I appreciate the lower heel, with the feet problems the Queen suffers from. Being the same, I appreciate her feeling for feet health and comfort. These shoes are very attractive and a gorgeous color. Her hair and makeup look good and well done, lovely presentation. The First Lady looked elegant in this lovely pale blue dress, it fitted well and the style suited her perfectly.

For someone of my vintage it feels a little strange to see Letizia in this style of dress, but then not everyone is seeing it second time around. It looks a little dated to me and therefore stiff and formal, which is in keeping with the formality of royal engagements.
