On Friday morning, the King and Queen of Spain, along with their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, hosted audiences ahead of the Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony this evening.

They commenced the day by holding audiences at the Hotel Reconquista, where they met with recipients of the 2023 End of Degree Awards from the University of Oviedo and the winners of the 2024 Medals of Asturias and Favorite Son 2024.
The Spanish Royal Family then moved to the hotel's Covadonga Hall where they received the 2024 Princess of Asturias Laureates.
