The King and Queen of Spain attended a meeting today linked to plans to mark the 5th centenary of the first circumnavigation of the globe by the Spanish explorer Juan Sebastián Elcano, and the Portuguese Ferdinand Magellan, which began in 1519.
The committee took an opportunity to enjoy the Fall sunshine and posed on the grounds of Zarzuela Palace. Queen Letizia dressed for the season and looked chic in autumnal colours.
Her Majesty debuted a new set by Hugo Boss, consisting of the red BOSS 'Fuyuma' Virgin Wool Cardigan (US$245) atop of the BOSS 'Fuyuka' pullover (US$195) in a matching hue. This photo shows a close-up of Letizia's coordinating tops.
Letizia complemented the knitwear with the Hugo Boss 'Vulnona' Skirt (US$375) featuring in a red-sparked houndstooth plaid pattern. The tailored skirt by BOSS is available at Nordstrom and Bloomingdales and comes complete with a black D-Ring belt.
On her feet she wore her Hugo Boss BOSS 'Staple R100-C' Black Crocodile-Embossed Pumps. The exact shoe is no longer available but you can browse the 'Staple' range online where you'll find this silhouette rendered in patent leather. The only stock photo I can find is of the shorter heeled R70-C model shown below.
Letizia finished the look with her Links of London Hope Egg earrings (£325), also a favorite of the Duchess of Cambridge.
