Queen Letizia looked festive in an all red ensemble for her last public event of the year. She joined her husband, King Felipe at the Palace of El Pardo to welcome the Permanent Council and Council of the Greatness of Spain, an advisory body of the state administration which brings together about 300 grandees of Spain.
Letizia opted for red, one of her favorite colors, to close this year's royal duties. The shirt-style wool crepe dress was designed by Felipe Varela and is embellished with floral embroidery. Her Majesty debuted the dress on her recent visit to Holland.
Later, Their Majesties held a meeting with the Board of Directors of National Heritage.
Letizia color coordinated the dress with her red leather almond toe pumps and ruby drop earrings.
It is expected that Their Majesties will resume royal duties in the first week of January 2015.
