A new season favorite

The Queen of Spain stepped out in her vibrant red Zara coat today as she attended an award ceremony for the Princess of Girona Foundation (Social) in the city of Soria.

The frilled sleeve coat is on track to become the new-season favourite for Letizia as she only debuted it a couple of weeks ago at another awards ceremony honouring "Spanish Brand" ambassadors.

Today she teamed it with a neutral ensemble consisting of her Hugo Boss pleated neck blouse, Uterque nappa leather leggings, and bespoke Magrit pumps in natural slub fabric.

Below is the only photo I could find of Letizia carrying a bag, which appears to be her red Carolina Herrera 'Maysa' clutch.

Spanish royals attend funeral of Infanta Alicia

The King and Queen of Spain were among the mourners at the funeral of Infanta Alicia of Spain.

She passed away yesterday at the age of 99 and was the aunt of King Felipe's father, King Juan Carlos.

She debuted the BOSS 'Heidin' dress featuring a round neckline, 3/4 sleeves and drop waist.

She accessorised with her BOSS Hugo Boss 'Staple R' black crocodile-embossed pumps and a black Prada quilted shoulder bag which dates back to September 2008.

Letizia finished off the understated look with her Chanel 'Plume' earrings.

Big Apple style in Portugal

The Queen of Spain traveled to Portugal today for the opening session of the 7th European Conference Tobacco or Health (ECTOH).

Queen Letizia delivered a speech in Portuguese and English at the forum which aims to address policies to control tobacco consumption in Europe and the world, and to reiterate to society the harmful effects of tobacco on health and its influence on the development of cancer.

Her Majesty repeated the Carolina Herrera jasmine printed sheath dress she premiered in New York in September 2016, and wore again a month later.

On arrival in Porto, Queen Letizia combated the chilly air with her red Hugo Boss shawl collar coat.

On her feet Letizia wore the LODI 'Saray' nude patent leather pumps, which she released last month to welcome the Argentine president and his wife to Spain.

The quilted crossbody bag is made in Spain from high quality leather. It has a silvertone fastening detail on the foldover front flap and logo hardware on the back. It features a double chain-and-leather crossbody strap. The interior is finished with a single inner compartment and a zip side pocket.

The Spanish queen completed the outfit with her white gold Chanel 'Plume' diamond earrings.

Her Majesty is the honorary president of the organization, whose primary mission is to promote the prevention of impairments, rehabilitation and social integration of people with disabilities.

The outfit consists of her recently released bouclé peplum top (whose signature is still unknown), and Hugo Boss 'Valessima' pencil skirt.

She accessorised the stylish set with her marsala ACOSTA clutch bag and a nude snakeskin version of Magrit's 'Laura' pumps.

The highlight of today's look was Letizia's hairstyle. She transformed her usual sleek locks into tousled waves which she loosely pinned in a half-updo.

Letizia topped off the outfit with her interchangeable earrings from Spanish jeweler Coolook. She wore the smoky quartz 'Big Candy' stud earrings with the 'Hera' pendants.

The Queen of Spain received two audiences at Zarzuela Palace today. She first met members and collaborators of the ALMA Association against the Violence of Gender

This was followed by a hearing with the Board of Trustees of the Direct Line Foundation and the Jury and Committee of Experts who award the "Journalistic Road Safety Award".

She originally debuted the trousers for the opening of the academic year in 2015, and a year later she wore the complete set by adding the matching blazer.

The King and Queen of Spain presented awards at the 7th edition of "Honorary Ambassadors of the Spanish Brand" today.

The accreditations recognize companies and organisations that promote Spanish products and services around the globe.

It was a fitting choice for Her Majesty to wear an outfit consisting of Spanish brands. She premiered a new jacket by Zara - the label's new season frilled sleeve coat (US$169).

The red coat has a round neck with front zip placket fastening. It is finished with long sleeves and frilled cuffs detail.

Letizia teamed the coat with black slim trousers and a black and white checked pussy-bow blouse by Spanish designer, Roberto Verino which she debuted last month for the closing ceremony of the Telefónica Foundation research project.

She accessorized with her black Carolina Herrera patent and suede pumps.

Letizia arrived at the venue carrying her red Carolina Herrera 'Maysa' clutch bag.

For the second time within a week, Letizia wore her circle link earrings which date back to 2008.

Today's sartorial choice is consistent with Letizia previous nod to Spanish brands for this event. In 2013 she wore Felipe Varela, and in 2015 she debuted a patterned Zara jacket.

Queen Letizia sports a Uterque throwback for "In Memoriam" concert

On Wednesday evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended the XVth "In Memoriam" tribute concert for victims of terrorism in Spain. They were photographed entering the National Music Auditorium in Madrid.

The event has been held annually since 2003 and is usually chaired by a senior member(s) of the Spanish royal family. Below we see a photo of Their Majesties with the organizers and sponsors.

Before the concert, a one minute silence was observed to honor all victims of terrorism.
