For her final public engagement of 2017, the Queen of Spain attended a meeting with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Madrid.
As Honorary President of the association, Queen Letizia's role is to bring public attention to the subject of cancer research, and campaign for more resources. The AECC also works to improve the conditions for cancer patients and their relatives during treatment.
Queen Letizia arrived at the charity's headquarters looking festive in head-to-toe red.
She wrapped up warm in her red Hugo Boss 'Catifa' coat from the German brand's Resort 2016 collection.
Poking from the hem of her coat was a bold printed skirt of cream with red petal print which Letizia paired with her black Hugo Boss 'Famaurie' polo neck wool sweater. The skirt is reportedly by Carolina Herrera but I'm yet to find a stock photo of it.
The look was coordinated with red suede over-the-knee boots by Magrit, the brand's 'Francesca' model (US$688).
Letizia carried a new pair of sunglasses. They are the Hugo Boss cateye sunglasses with metal arms - Style BOSS 0892/S0S757HD - 58057643. The navy frame shades retail for £155 and are currently available at Hugo Boss and Farfetch.
She then finished off with her Zara laser cut leather crossbody bag and Yanes sunburst white gold and diamond earrings.
Their Majesties are expected to resume royal duties in the first week of the new year when they preside over the traditional celebration of the Pascua Militar on 6th January 2018.
Feliz Navidad and Happy New Year to all my readers!

I believe the grey flecked trousers are from her Hugo Boss 'Jaelly' pant suit.

Queen Letizia opted for a modest look today, a befitting choice given the sensitive content of her visit. Her low-key attire consisted of a khaki green blouse and her cream Massimo crepe trousers. Unfortunately we do not know the origin of the shirt.
On her feet she wore understated tan Oxford shoes which Letizia debuted in July 2013 on a visit to the Sierra de Guadarrama.
She finished off her discreet style with a simple low ponytail and small diamond stud earrings.

Like previous occasions, Letizia coordinated the dress with her Magrit 'Gabriela' bag and matching D'Orsay pumps (a bespoke version of the brand's 'Alicia' style).
Today she accessorized with her amethyst drop earrings featuring green gemstone accents.
The origin of the earrings is unclear. They were first thought to be the Pomellato Bahia drop earrings however the prong settings and position of the green stones is different to Letizia's earrings and the brand denied ownership of the design. There is an Etsy store that has the exact design of Letizia's earrings which they claim is based on a Pomellato design. I contacted Pomellato and they confirmed that Letizia must be wearing a copy.

Queen Letizia surprised us by debuting a new frock from Delpozo. This is the first piece she has worn by the Spanish heritage label. Founded by fashion designer Jesús del Pozo in 1974, the fashion house was renamed Delpozo, with Josep Font as its Creative Director, following the death of del Pozo in 2011. Today, it’s a key show at New York fashion week, where the label has become known for its feminine DNA, bold use of colour and architectural shapes, born out of the couture-like approach Font applies to his collections.
Spanish fashionistas and royal style watchers have long wondered when or if the Queen of Spain would don a piece by Delpozo. Tonight she put that to rest when she stepped out in a gorgeous insignia blue cocktail dress by the fashion house.
The dress is defined by a 3D rosette detail at the bodice and features an off-the-shoulder neckline, three quarter length sleeves, and a pencil midi skirt. It is from the Pre-Fall 2017 collection and retails for US$2,750. It is currently on sale at these retailers: Bergdorf Goodman ($1,650), Saks Fifth Avenue ($1,650), Farfetch ($1,650), Moda Operandi ($2,393), By Symphony ($2,909), Italist (€1599).
Completing the look were her Chanel 'Plume' earrings.
I hope Delpozo becomes a staple part of Queen Letizia's wardrobe because the luxury prêt-à-couture fashion brand offers a wonderful collection of bold yet feminine designs.
