King Felipe & Queen Letizia made their annual pilgrimage to Catalonia today for the Princess of Girona Awards. The awards recognize exceptional achievements made by the youth of Spain in areas such as scientific research, artistic creativity, social solidarity and entrepreneurship.
The program of activities kicked off with an informal meeting with the winners of previous editions and a luncheon meeting with the Advisory Council of the Princess of Girona Foundation.
This was followed by a meeting with the Board of the Princess of Girona Foundation.

King Felipe & Queen Letizia attended the Princess of Girona Foundation awards ceremony this evening following meetings with the Foundation board earlier in the day.
Their Majesties delivered the prizes on behalf of her eldest daughter, Leonor. The 12 year old royal heir is now the honorary president of the Princess Girona Foundation, a position her father, Felipe VI once held. The name of the foundation was changed in December 2014 to reflect the title now held by Princess Leonor.

The Queen of Spain kicked off her first engagement on home soil today following last week's visit to the USA by joining the celebration of International Deafblind Day in the seaside resort town of Benidorm.
The event was organized by the Deafblind Association of Spain and it honours people who live with this unique disability.

The King and Queen of Spain concluded their 6-day visit to the USA with a visit to the White House for a meet and greet with President Donald Trump, and First Lady Melania Trump.
Their Majesties received a warm welcome from the Trumps.
The four made their way to the Oval Office for press meeting.
Her Majesty and the First Lady then had tea and spent time together in private discussions. Melania Trump posted this Tweet about their meeting:

The King and Queen of Spain continued their 6-day visit to the USA today. Their first joint engagement of the day was a stop at the San Antonio Museum of Art for a preview of the "Spain: 500 Years of Spanish Painting from the Museums of Madrid" exhibition which will officially open to the public next Saturday.
At noon, Their Majesties moved to The St. Anthony hotel to attend a luncheon organized by the Fundación Carolina for participants of the Hispanic Young Leaders Program.

Tomorrow, the King and Queen of Spain will be in Washington DC where they will meet President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the White House.
The King and Queen of Spain continued their 6-day visit to the USA and received an official welcome to the City of San Antonio today following three days in New Orleans.
Their Majesties visited the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and marked the tricentennial of the city's founding with a Commemorative Plaque. San Antonio was founded on May 1, 1718, when a Spanish expedition from Mexico established the Mission San Antonio de Valero. King Felipe and Queen Letizia were presented with the first edition of the keys to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It was a busy morning for the King and Queen of Spain on their last day in the city of New Orleans before moving on to San Antonio, Texas for the second leg of their 6-day USA visit.
King Felipe's day began by receiving in audience North American historians and presidents of the main universities of New Orleans. He was later joined by Queen Letizia at the New Orleans Museum of Art where they were treated to three performances related to the roots and cultural mergers of the city.
For their final engagement in the cuty of New Orleans, Felipe and Letizia held a reception with a representation of the society of New Orleans with the presence of the Spanish community living in the city and a group of descendants of the first settlers of the Canary Islands.
At noon, Their Majesties departed from New Orleans and arrived in San Antonio, Texas where they were greeted by the Mayor at San Antonio International Airport.

They could be the Gianvito Rossi 'Virtua' 100 leather and PVC mules, however Letizia's shoes appear to have a suede upper. Another possibility is the Steve Madden 'Plaza' mules. Both are brands that Letizia has not worn before so I'll hold off on making a definitive ID until we get better images of the shoes.
ID UPDATE (27 Jun 2018): We got a better look at the shoes when Letizia wore them again for an event in Benidorm! They are indeed the Steve Madden 'Plaza' mules. The US website shows them with a natural sole, but Letizia's mules have a black sole which can be found on the brand's European line available at YOOX. Following this morning's welcome ceremony by the City of New Orleans, the King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the "Recovered Memories: Spain, New Orleans, and the Support for the American Revolution" exhibition at the Cabildo in Jackson Square.
Organized by Iberdrola S.A. in association with the Louisiana State Museum, the exhibition showcases hundreds of historic artifacts, documents, and works of art exploring Spain’s influence on the development of New Orleans, its support of the American Revolution, and Spain’s lasting legacy on American culture.
A huge crowd had gathered outside to catch a glimpse of the Spainish monarchs.
