King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the ceremony of the National Research Awards 2022 in Alicante on Wednesday.
Their Majesties presented the awards which are granted by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and are the most important recognition in Spain in the field of scientific research. For the first time, the National Youth Research Awards were also delivered to recognize the accomplishments of young researchers from Spain who have made significant contributions in the early stages of their careers.

This portal features around 150,000 geographical references, displaying the locations of historical events and figures. It represents the most comprehensive collection of Hispanic historical information to date.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia inaugurated the exhibition "Sorolla through light" on Thursday at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
The immersive exhibition commemorates the 100th anniversary since the passing of the Spanish painter, and will combine for the first time Joaquín Sorolla’s artistic creations with digital recreations and sensory experiences through light, colour, and movement. Original paintings by the artist will also be on display, some from private collections that are rarely shown.

The King and Queen of Spain were in Aviles on Monday to deliver the 2022 National Innovation and Design Awards, granted by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.

Following this morning's solo engagements, The King and Queen of Spain reunited for a visit to the headquarters of the National Assembly, where they were welcomed by the President of the Chamber, Carolina Cerqueira.
King Felipe took the floor and addressed the parliament where he emphasized Spain's commitment to Angola's economic growth.
At noon, Their Majesties returned to the Presidential Palace for a farewell luncheon hosted by the President of Angola and the First Lady.

The King and Queen of Spain began their third and final day in Angola with separate engagements. Queen Letizia visited the Lucrécia Paim Maternity Hospital where, accompanied by the First Lady of Angola, she learned about the main challenges of maternal and child health in the country.

In the afternoon, on Day 2 of the State Visit to Angola, the King and Queen of Spain attended events on educational and cultural exchange between the two countries at Banco Económico in Luanda.
Their Majesties attended a presentation ceremony by the International University of Cuanza, a tertiray institution promoted by the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER). Later, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia took part in the inauguration of the exhibition of the works of Spanish artist, Joan Miró, also supported by FUNIBER.
The day concluded with a cocktail dinner reception for the Spanish community residents in Angola at the Epic Sana Hotel in Luanda.
