For her only engagement of the week, Queen Letizia received an audience at Zarzuela Palace.
She first meet representatives of the Association for specific language impairment in Madrid (ATELMA). This organisation is run by a group of parents who aim to raise awareness of the disorder that impairs language acquisition during childhood development.
Next she meet with representatives of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Nutrition Foundation (FEN), an organisation that promotes coordination between scientific research and food industries on all issues related to nutrition. This subject is an important one to Her Majesty who is currently serving as the UN's Special Ambassador of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for Nutrition.
Queen Letizia sported a familiar ensemble, consisting of a red blazer (most likely Felipe Varela), Mango floral print blouse and black trousers (most likely Hugo Boss). We first saw her wear this combination in November 2014 for the 75th anniversary of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC).
On her feet were the Gucci 'Jolene' black leather mid-heel pumps.
Today, we saw the return of the dainty Chanel Comète diamond star earrings.

The Queen of Spain ended her working week in a meeting with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). She was photographed making her way to the headquarters of the AECC in Madrid.
As Honorary President of the association, Queen Letizia's role is to bring public attention to the subject of cancer research, and campaign for more resources, while also improving the conditions for cancer patients and their relatives during treatment. Today’s agenda was to talk through the preparations for the upcoming “Cancer Day”, which takes place every year on February 4th.
Letizia arrived at the headquarters wearing her Nina Ricci grey tweed swing coat which she debuted in April 2015 for the "la Caixa" scholarship presentations.
Under the coat she wore black trouser pants and premiered the Hugo Boss 'Famaurie' polo neck sweater.
Queen Letizia complimented her professional look by accessorizing with her men's style Hugo Boss 'Norrmalm' business bag, which is a favorite of hers for these types of meetings.
Today, we saw the return of the block heel boots which still remain unidentified. Letizia first wore them when she visited the village of Colombres in October last year.
Queen Letizia added a touch of interest to her minimalist ensemble with a new pair of tear-shaped earrings.
They are the Amethyst, Rose Quartz & Blue Quartz Ear Clips by Bounkit (US$308). The curiously shaped earrings are handmade in New York and set with Amethyst, Rose Quartz & Blue Quartz in 14K Gold plated brass.

Today, Queen Letizia opened the 36th edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) in Madrid. The 5 day event brings together more than 9,000 companies from 165 countries, and over 220,000 visitors.
Letizia usually accompanies her husband, King Felipe to this annual event, but today she went solo. Following the ceremonial opening, she toured the halls and met with some of the exhibitors of the fair.
Queen Letizia dressed appropriately for the business fair, recycling a Hugo Boss navy pant suit she debuted in November last year for the seminar on Nutrigenomics. Under the jacket she wore her Hugo Boss 'Banora' blouse which is available to buy from House of Fraser.
On her feet were the Magrit 'Mila' pumps in navy leather, and Letizia completed the outfit with her TOUS cultured freshwater pearl drop earrings.
Here is a photo gallery of Letizia at previous FITUR openings.

Today, Queen Letizia attended a meeting with the Foundation Against Drug Addiction (FAD). You may recall that Her Majesty became honorary president of FAD in September last year, taking on the role from Queen Sofia who served as patron for nearly 30 years.
Her Majesty arrived at the FAD headquarters in Madrid wearing an oversized coat in Pantone's Color of the Year, Rose Quartz.
The new piece is the BOSS Hugo Boss 'Cosyna' Cashmere Double Face Cocoon Coat. The wool/cashmere blend coat has a round neckline with a concealed button placket and 2 patch slash pockets on the front. It has drop seam sleeves, a dividing seam at the back and small darts at the nape. Hugo Boss labels the color as 'Light Purple'.
Under the coat, Queen Letizia wore her classic Hugo Boss aubergine skirt suit. The separates consists of the 'Jamayla' blazer and matching 'Valessima' skirt.
Under the suit jacket she wore the Hugo Boss 'Bedona' silk blouse.
Today, Queen Letizia showcased a new burgundy leather clutch bag. It remains unidentified.
UPDATE 30/03/2016
We finally have an ID for the clutch! It is by ACOSTA, a Spanish label specializing in hand crafted leather goods since 1942. The marsala red bag features a rail handle and retails for €220.
She also debuted the Magrit 'Mila' pumps in nude patent leather. This is a model she owns in a few different colors.
She completed her look with Ruby cabochon dangle earrings.
It appears that Queen Letizia pays close attention to color trends set by the color authority, Pantone. Last year, she was a big fan of Marsala, Pantone's Color of the Year 2015. The deep wine red hue was the dominant color of her 2015 wardrobe.
This year, the Pantone Color Institute has for the first time anointed two colors of the year for 2016. Dubbed Rose Quartz and Serenity, they are shades of pale pink and baby blue. It’s all about the blend, declared Pantone. Choosing two hues with gender symbolism reflects the gender blur and fluidity that is taking place in fashion and the culture at large.
I'm interested to see if Her Majesty will combine these two colors for her outfit choices in 2016!

For her second engagement of the year, Queen Letizia held an audience hearing at Zarzuela Palace. She first meet with FSG, an organisation that works to improve the social welfare of the marginalised Spanish Roma community.
This was followed by a hearing with the Platform for Children, an association that groups leading organizations that advocate, promote and protect children's human rights in Spain.
Queen Letitia kept her look professional but added a touch of chic with her Zara cape and new Carolina Herrera crosshatch houndstooth patterned blouse.
The silhouette of the top is identical to her pink patterned Carolina Herrera blouse which she has worn on many occasions.
Today, Queen Letizia wore her trusty Hugo Boss 'Taru' black trouser pants and on her feet were the Magrit 'Mila' pumps in black leather.
She completed the outfit with her Links of London Hope Egg earrings, also a favorite of the Duchess of Cambridge.

Today, the King & Queen of Spain undertook their first public engagement of the New Year. They presided over the traditional celebration of the Pascua Militar, which is deeply rooted in the Spanish military and dates back to 1782 during the reign of Carlos III. The ceremony is held annually on the day of Epiphany at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
In his role as as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, King Felipe VI reviewed the troops of the Royal Guard.
Following the parade, Their Majesties made their way to the Throne Room within the Palace to greet officials from the Ministry of Defense and the Civil Guard.
As tradition dedicates, Queen Letizia wore a long dress. It is customary for royal women to wear a full length skirt to the Pascua Militar ceremony. Here's a look back at Letizia's previous outfits:
Today, Queen Letizia donned a new maxi dress from Felipe Varela. She teamed the dress with her white peplum blazer also by Varela. She first wore the jacket during her recent visit to Washington DC.
The bottom half of the skirt featured a cut-out pattern with scalloped hem and white lining. It was finished with a back slit.
On her feet were the Magrit perforated black suede pumps. They are a bespoke version of the Magrit 'Estela' heels and were first worn in late October 2014 for the Prince of Asturias Awards 2014. Queen Letizia also accessorized with her Cucareliquia 'Archy' handbag (note: the company has rebranded and are now called Reliquia.)
Queen Letzia had her hair pulled back in an elegant chignon, and completing her look were the TOUS cultured freshwater pearl drop earrings.
