On Wednesday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia hosted a reception at the Royal Palace of Madrid in honour of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Spain.
The reception, held annually for the New Year, serves as an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic relations, promote international cooperation, and celebrate the diversity of the diplomatic community in Spain. The event typically attracts around 1,200 guests, and Their Majesties greet diplomats and ambassadors upon their arrival in the Throne Room of the palace.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia revived a sapphire blue taffeta gown that she had previously worn during the Pascua Militar ceremony in 2022 (shown below).
Featuring long sleeves, a v-neckline, stand collar, a buttoned front, a self-tie belt, and a full skirt, the fabric of the gown boasts a tonal moiré pattern throughout. The designer of the piece is still unknown.
Today, Queen Letizia acessoried the dress with familiar diamond and sapphire jewellery.
The pearl, diamond, and sapphire cluster earrings, originally belonging to Princess María de las Mercedes of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (King Felipe's paternal grandmother), were complemented by a necklace received as a gift from her in-laws. Letizia last adorned herself with both pieces in 2004, during the official dinner on the eve of her wedding ceremony with Felipe.
Today, she added the diamond and sapphire bracelet.

On Tuesday, Queen Letizia visited the headquarters of the Association for the Prevention, Reintegration, and Care of Prostituted Women (APRAMP) in Madrid, which is devoted to building a society free of violence and exploitation, and where people regain their freedom and dignity.
Queen Letizia first explored the facilities and the workshops of the association, encompassing the Fashion School and the Survivors School. Following the tour, Queen Letizia participated in a working meeting with APRAMP's technical team and survivors.
For today's visit, Her Majesty wore a tweed jacket designed and crafted at the APRAMP fashion workshop. Rendered in a mix of red, white and black, the long sleeved jacket features frayed edges, button-front and a collarless neckline.
This is the third piece Queen Letizia has worn from the APRAMP fashion school. In June 2021, she debuted a grey Ulises Mérida dress created in collaboration with APRAMP, and in June 2022, she wore a pink paisley print blouse also crafted in the same workshop.
She paired the fitted jacket with her black Hugo Boss 'Trimie' Wide-Leg Crop Trousers.

Adorning her feet were the latest addition to her wardrobe - a pair of Adeba 'Dance' Ballerinas in black. Crafted from glossy patent leather, these ballet flats showcase a stylish round toe, think ankle strap, and a subtle 2.5 cm heel.
On Saturday, The King and Queen of Spain undertook their first public engagement of 2024.
For the first time, Their Majesties were joined by their eldest daughter, Princess Leonor, as they presided over the traditional celebration of the Pascua Militar. This event is deeply rooted in the Spanish military and dates back to 1782 during the reign of Carlos III. The ceremony is held annually on the day of Epiphany at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
Following the parade, King Felipe, Queen Letizia and Princess Leonor made their way to the Throne Room within the Palace to meet officials from the Government, the Ministry of Defence and the Civil Guard.
It is customary for royal women to wear a full-length skirt for the Pascua Militar ceremony and today, the Queen of Spain wore a black column skirt by Spanish brand, Boüret, valued at €290. Crafted from crepe, the skirt boasts a high waist and a slit at the back.
Queen Letizia paired it with a light taupe silk blouse featuring a rolled neck and long sleeves.
During the outdoor parade, she covered up with her black Carolina Herrera Fur Collar Wrap Cape.
Letizia carried her black Carolina Herrera 'Astrud' Clutch, and on her feet were her PINKCHIC Guagua 'Daniela' Pumps in black.
To complete the look, Letizia wore a pair of vintage-style gold and diamond drop earrings, which were first worn for Infanta Sofia's confirmation last May.
