The King and Queen of Spain held two engagements on Tuesday, at Zarzuela Palace, Madrid. Their Majesties first engagement of the day was an audience with former World No.1, Spanish of Venezuelan origin, professional tennis player Garbine Muguruza Blanco, to mark her victory in the 'AKRON WTA Finals 2021' championship in Guadalajara (Mexico), where she defeated Anett Kontaveit of Estonia by 6-3 and 7-5.
Their Majesties second engagement of the day was the 28th meeting of the Delegate Commission of the Princess of Girona Foundation (FPdGi). The activity report for 2021, the action plan for 2022 and the strategic plan that will be followed for the years 2022-2025, among other topics, were presented.

The King and Queen of Spain are currently on a State Visit to Sweden between the 23rd-25th November. Queen Letizia began her final day of the State Visit accompanied by Queen Silvia, at the Bernadotte Library in the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
The queen consorts participated in a seminar on language, literature and translation, with the collaboration of the Cervantes Institute and the Swedish Institute. The Bernadotte Library contains the royal book collection, approximately 100,000 books that have belonged to the Bernadotte kings and queens throughout the ages.
At noon, Their Majesties, accompanied by the King and Queen of Sweden, along with Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia attended a lunch offered by the City of Stockholm in their honour in the Golden Hall of the City Hall, where the Nobel Prize dinner is held. In this act, the delivery of the golden key of the city was presented and King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia signed the Book of Honour.

The King and Queen of Spain are currently on a State Visit to Sweden between the 23rd-25th November. Their Majesties began their final afternoon in the Swedish capital at the Grand Hotel Stockholm to meet with members of the Association of Spanish Scientists in Sweden.
During the meeting, the 'ACES Margarita Salas' prize was awarded to Mercedes Maroto-Valer, an expert in energy systems and decarbonisation, in the physics, mathematics and engineering category. The award recognises the scientific work carried out by researchers of Spanish nationality with recognised international impact, contributing to progress and social well-being in an extraordinary and exemplary way.
Concluding their State Visit to Sweden, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia held a reception in honour of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia at the Embassy of Spain in Stockholm.
They were accompanied by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia.
After the reception and official farewell of the delegations at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Their Majesties undertook the journey back to Spain.

Concluding their second day in the Swedish capital, Their Majesties attended a gala dinner in their honour, hosted by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
They were accompanied by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia.
Other guests included a representation of the Spanish delegation, representatives of the Swedish Parliament, the Swedish Government and other authorities, as well as representatives of the scientific, cultural and business world.

Queen Letizia gave a sartorial nod to her hosts by wearing a gown by Swedish giant, H&M.
The £229.99 tulle ball dress in dark blue was part of the fashion retailer's Spring 2020 Conscious Exclusive collection.
Crown Princess Victoria has a custom version of the gown which she wore for her 10th wedding anniversary portraits in 2020.
Tonight, Her Majesty was decorated with The Order of the Seraphim, the most outstanding distinction in Sweden.
Also on her light blue sash was a familiar diamond brooch originating from the Ansorena Fleur de Lys tiara.
Letizia carried her custom metallic gold Magrit 'Alice' clutch.
She topped off her regal look with joyas de pasar jewels including the "La Buena" Fleur de Lys tiara, diamond chanton earrings, and stacked diamond bracelets.

From there they began a carriage ride to the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
This was followed by the official welcoming ceremony, where both monarchs reviewed the Grenadier Guards of the Life Guards and the national anthems were performed.
Inside the Palace, Their Majesties received greetings from Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden. Then, in the Lovisa Ulrika Hall, King Felipe VI spoke a few words of greeting.
In the afternoon, Their Majesties visited the Nobel Prize Museum where they toured the exhibition 'Synapses: Science and art in Spain from Ramón y Cajal to the 21st century'.
Following this engagement, Queen Letizia, accompanied by Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria, visited Karolinska University Hospital, where they held a meeting with representatives of organisations of Rare Diseases, spinal cord damage and organ selective endovascular therapy. The Karolinska Institute (KI) is Sweden's largest academic medical research centre, offering the widest range of medical courses and programs in the country.

The King and Queen of Spain are currently on a State Visit to Sweden between the 23rd-25th November. After their arrival in Stockholm, Their Majesties received a representation of the Spanish community residing in Sweden, at the Embassy of Spain in Stockholm.
One of the most relevant aspects of the bilateral relationship is the growing presence of Spaniards who have emigrated to Sweden, taking advantage of job opportunities. The Spanish community in Sweden has grown at a sustained rate in the last decade, to currently exceed 12,500 Spanish nationals registered in the Consular Registration Register, of which more than 12,000 are residents.

The Queen of Spain held two audiences on Friday, at Zarzuela Palace, Madrid.
Her Majesty's first audience of the day was with representatives of Associations that are involved with the victims of traffic accidents.
'World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims' takes place on the third Sunday in November annually to acknowledge people who have died or were seriously injured in traffic accidents and their families. It is also a day to recognise the dedication of those who contribute to improving the situation of the victims. It was started by the British road crash victim charity, RoadPeace, in 1993 and was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2005.
Queen Letizia's second audience of the day was with a representation of the Association for the Prevention, Reintegration and Care of Prostituted Women (APRAMP). The APRAMP works, from the beginning, to prevent and eradicate sexual exploitation and human trafficking. It defends and promotes the rights of people who suffer sexual exploitation and trafficking so that they regain the freedom, dignity and autonomy necessary to lead a life outside the control and abuse of their exploiters. It develops programs aimed at guaranteeing access to their rights and meeting the needs of victims when they are not covered by public services, acting as a bridge between them and the administrations.

The King and Queen of Spain hosted a gala dinner on Tuesday eveing in honour of the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, and his daughter Laura Mattarella, who are on a two day State Visit to Spain, at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
In the Throne Room, Their Majesties, President Sergio Mattarella, and Laura Mattarella received greetings from the attending Spanish and Italian authorities and guests.

Before dinner, King Felipe VI concluded his speech stating "I am sure that the future of an integrated Europe will depend on Italy and Spain fulfilling the commitments assumed in the framework of the Next Generation EU; in order to guarantee both a clear economic and social benefit for our citizens, as well as to make possible the continuity of the Europe we want.”
Her Majesty premiered an understated black floor length gown from the Italian fashion house of Giorgio Armani.
Featuring a subtle sweetheart neckline and thick shoulder straps, she offset the simplicity of the gown with some spectacular jewelry!
Queen Letizia brought out the Queen Maria Christina’s Loop Tiara which she first wore in 2018. The diadem is made of diamonds and pearls and set in platinum, and reportedly made by Cartier. This hefty tiara was a wedding present to Archduchess Maria Christina of Austria for her wedding to King Alfonso XII of Spain in 1879.
She teamed the diadem with a pair of small diamond stud earrings, and a diamond collet necklace and bracelet from Queen Victoria Eugenia's personal collection. Queen Letizia first wore this demi-parure for the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Naruhito in October 2019.
She wore her newly-acquired sash of the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
Pinned to the sash was the 'joyas de pasar' pearl and diamond brooch which Queen Letizia first wore for the 2019 Pascua Militar.
The King and Queen of Spain received the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, and his daughter Laura Mattarella, at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
President Sergio Mattarella makes a State Visit to Spain on 16th-17th November, in which he will attend, together with King Felipe VI and the President of Portugal, the XIV Cotec Europa meeting on the 17th.
The official reception included Military Honors with the interpretation of the national anthems and 21 cannon salute. His Majesty and the President of Italy reviewed the honours battalion of the Royal Guard, later, accompanied by Her Majesty and Laura Mattarella, they received greetings of the official delegations and the parade of the Royal Guard.
Afterwards, Their Majesties, Presidental Sergio Mattarella, and Laura Mattarella held a brief meeting at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
Later in the afternoon, the King and Queen offered a luncheon in honour of the President and Laura Mattarella, at the Palace of La Zarzuela.
