This marked the first occasion the Spanish queen had stepped out in a design from the English fashion designer, which perhaps signals that Her Majesty is experimenting with British brands ahead of the UK State visit in July!
Picture
Queen Letizia elevated her look with a new pair of tonal red platform heels. Magrit confirmed they manufactured the bespoke sandals.

She added some eye-catching accessories to the outfit. The metallic silver clutch complemented her  "joyas de pasar" diamond cuff bracelets perfectly.  The two stacked bracelets are a legacy from Queen Ena of Spain, her husband’s great-grandmother.
Picture
We originally thought the bag was new, however Letizia was first spotted carrying it at the wedding of Prince Nikolaos of Greece in August 2010. It's reportedly by Felipe Varela (unconfirmed).
Picture
Queen Letizia then finished off flawlessly with her diamond and ruby chandelier earrings which she debuted in February.

For her day in Valencia, Queen Letizia brought back an elegant ensemble she premiered on the final day of the State visit to Portugal in November 2016.

The pearl grey coat and dress set is from the CH Carolina Herrera Fall 2016 range.  The double-wool coat features a cocoon silhouette which channels an elegant vintage vibe and is designed with a funnel neck and contrasting purple underside.  I believe the coat may be reversible. The matching dress is sleeveless and comes with an attached self-belt that ties at the front.  The garments are only available at flagship Carolina Herrera stores.
Picture
Letizia supplemented the outfit with the same accessories she wore when she debuted the set. She carried her grey Hugo Boss suede flap clutch, and on her feet she wore the Magrit 'Mila' snake-effect pumps.

Picture
Letizia tweaked the look with different jewelery. Today she opted for her Coolook 'Papiro' earrings.

The foursome spent the day in Shizuoka - a Japanese prefecture in the foothills of Mount Fuji. They visited a Seismic study centre, before moving to the Fugetsuro Complex, to view an historic clock  presented by King Philip III to Governor Tokugawa Ieyasu  in 1611, as a token of gratitude for the rescue of the crew of the Spanish galleon San Francisco which sunk in Onjuku, to the north of Tokyo.

Royal Visit Japan, Day 2

The Queen of Spain started Day 2 of Royal Visit Japan with a solo visit to Keio University and a tour of the Genetic Medical Center.

Letizia opted for a simple professional style, combining her white Hugo Boss pleated blouse with a new patterned pencil skirt also by the German brand. It is the 'Marala' model, and it is currently available from the Hugo Boss UK website (£179) and Saks Fifth Ave (US$325).

Following a day of separate engagements in Toyko, the King and Queen of Spain were reunited for dinner hosted by Japan's Prime Minister, Shinzō Abe at the Akasaka Palace.

Queen Letizia made a sartorial nod to her hosts, wearing a black velvet set trimmed with cherry blossom fabric.  It is currently sakura season in Japan where crowds of people flock to parks, gardens and riversides for festivals around blossoming cherry trees.
Picture
The two-piece skirt and top are new to us, but they herald from the Armani Privé Fall 2011 Couture collection. The entire collection was a homage to Japan, and Armani used Japanese visual icons - ranging from parasols to cherry blossoms in the designs, as well as obilike belts and origamilike folds. You can view the entire collection on Vogue.
Picture
Queen Letizia complemented the set with an exquisite pair of diamond and ruby earrings on loan from Queen Sofia's jewellery box.  They work so well with the outfit because they resemble hanging cherries.
Picture
Like yesterday, the range of photos from this tour has been limited and so it continues to be a challenge to compile the blog with detailed images of Letizia's clothing and accessories. I will update the post if better photos become available.
