The tiara is made of diamonds set in gold and silver floral motifs, and is the property of her mother-in-law, Queen Sofia.
Letizia coordinated the headpiece with simple white gold bezel set diamond stud earrings which originate from her Australian pearl earrings. The dangle diamond and pearl section is detachable, leaving behind the stud.
