Queen Letizia ended the working week at the "Accion Magistral 2016" awards ceremony in Madrid. The awards recognise the effort that teachers go to beyond their daily jobs, offering children more enriched learning experiences. Letizia was on hand to deliver the trophies.
Her Majesty opted for the simplicity of black and white at today's engagement.
She teamed basic black trousers with a new sleeveless grid patterned top by her favorite luxury, brand Hugo Boss.
Letizia wore the label's BOSS 'Lamma' checked top with flared hem (US$285) - a minimalist style top with an expanded check pattern and peplum-inspired hem. It is currently available at Hugo Boss, and Bloomingdales.
She came armed with her Mbubag 'Arts' ostrich clutch.
On her feet were the Magrit 'Mila' black leather pumps.
Letizia completed the look with her modern circle link earrings.
The earrings date back to 2008 when Letizia first wore them for the Spanish Youth Congress 25th anniversary dinner. She repeated them many years later for the National Culture Awards in 2015.
Queen Letizia has three engagements lined up next week, with the highlight being the annual Red Cross fundraising event!

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia invited Olympic and Paralympic medalists to El Pardo Palace today to personally congratulate them on their success at the Rio 2016 games.
Their Majesties were joined by Felipe's eldest sister; Infanta Elena.
Queen Letizia wore a familiar winter white Felipe Varela sheath dress featuring a floral applique across the chest.
Letizia debuted the dress in September 2013 when the Spanish royal family welcomed the King & Queen of The Netherlands at Zarzuela Palace. A month later she wore it at a function in Miami, USA. For the first two occasions, Letizia adorned the dress with a silver belt. Today, she simplified the outfit by excluding the belt - just like she did when she wore the dress for a luncheon with Panama's President & First Lady in September 2014.
Letizia kept her accessories neutral. On her feet were the nude patent Magrit 'Beatriz' peep-toe heels.
She finished the look with her beautiful TOUS ruby, emerald and moonstone earrings.

Queen Letizia started the working week with a round table meeting at the 'Save Food Congress 2016' - a Global Initiative on Food Loss and Waste Reduction.
Her Majesty attended in her role as the United Nations Special Ambassador of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for Nutrition which she was appointed in June 2015.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore a classic executive style but with a twist. Her navy Hugo Boss suit featured a speckled tweed texture that sparkled in the light.
You may recall she debuted the suit trousers for last year's opening of the academic year.
Today, she teamed the BOSS 'Tanare' pants with the matching BOSS 'Jamoli' blazer.
The separates are from the Hugo Boss Fall/Winter 2015 collection. The garments are made from slub yarn in a blend of wool and silk.
Under the jacket she wore her cornflower blue Hugo Boss knit pullover.
Queen Letizia accessorized with tonal blue supplements. She carried her Loewe Large Double Zip clutch, and on her feet she wore the Magrit 'Mila' pumps in navy leather.
She finished the look with her Coolook 'Big Ameba' blue quartz earrings.

Queen Letizia attended two engagements today in relation to her patronage of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). As honorary president of the AECC and its Scientific Foundation, Her Majesty first chaired the commemorations for World Cancer Research Day in Barcelona.
Later that day, she presided over the delivery of Aid for Cancer Research grants and the award "V de Vida" 2016.
Queen Letizia mixed and matched familiar pieces to create a chic white ensemble.
She teamed her white Felipe Varela bouclé blazer with white pants and kept her footwear neutral, wearing the Magrit 'Laura' pumps in nude snake leather (bespoke).
Under her jacket she revived the Massimo Dutti star printed blouse which has remained dormant in her closet since its debut in 2011. The all-over star pattern added a playful touch to her professional style.
Queen Letizia finished the look with her beloved TOUS cultured freshwater pearl drop earrings.
I'll leave you with a retrospective look at Letizia's previous outfits for the V de Vida award ceremony:

This evening, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a reception for the Heads of State and government leaders participating in the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
After a run of light and white floral ensembles, Queen Letizia was back in black this evening - her colour of choice for night-time events. She wore a Felipe Varela fit-and-flare dress; a repeat from the Prince of Asturias Awards in 2010. The simple silhouette of the frock is enhanced with fine embroidered lace and black beads.
Here's a closer look at the detail of the dress from 2010.
On her feet was the bespoke version of the Magrit 'Vanessa' peep toe heel which she debuted in May 2015.
Unfortunately there are no hi-res photo of Letizia's earrings, but they appear to be the cascading diamond earrings she debuted on Day 1 of the Prince of Asturias Awards in 2014.

Her Majesty made a wardrobe change but stayed with a Carolina Herrera design. She repeated the Carolina Herrera white/black floral dress, first worn to a journalism awards gala dinner in October 2014.

The Queen of Spain marked the start of the school year today with a visit to the Ginés Morata primary school in Almeria.
She received a warm welcome from the young school children and Her Majesty reciprocated the delight.
As a mother herself, Queen Letizia looked right at home among the school children, and she displayed her natural affection toward to the pupils.
Her Majesty was given a tour of some of the classrooms where she took the opportunity to chat with the students.
Queen Letizia dressed for the warm weather and opted for a classic pant and breezy blouse.
She debuted a pretty floral printed top by Spanish urban fashion brand, Cortefiel. The €39.99 white blouse features a navy oriental floral print with peplum waist, V-neckline and flutter sleeves.
The brand is a new addition to Letizia's closet but the label has been on the Spanish high-street since 1945. Founded in Madrid, the company is now part of Grupo Cortefiel, one of Europe’s leading fashion retailers.
The blouse was paired with her navy Hugo Boss trousers and bespoke Magrit peep-toe platform heels rendered in blue reptile skin.

The adorable Spanish princesses commenced the school year today. Leonor, Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía were accompanied by their parents the King and Queen of Spain on their way to the Santa Maria de los Rosales college.
It's difficult to deduce Queen Letizia's school-run outfit from the limited photos. I noticed she wore a light blouse with contrasting taupe cuffs and trim around the neckline.
It is by Uterque, from the brand's Fall/Winter 2013/2014 collection.
She accessoried with her Elena C mini butterfly earrings.
