Feliz Navidad!
Queen Letizia looked festive in an all red ensemble for her last public event of the year. She joined her husband, King Felipe at the Palace of El Pardo to welcome the Permanent Council and Council of the Greatness of Spain, an advisory body of the state administration which brings together about 300 grandees of Spain. Letizia opted for red, one of her favorite colors, to close this year's royal duties. The shirt-style wool crepe dress was designed by Felipe Varela and is embellished with floral embroidery. Her Majesty debuted the dress on her recent visit to Holland. Later, Their Majesties held a meeting with the Board of Directors of National Heritage. Letizia color coordinated the dress with her red leather almond toe pumps and ruby drop earrings. It is expected that Their Majesties will resume royal duties in the first week of January 2015. On Friday, Their Majesties chaired a board meeting of the Principe de Girona Foundation at the Royal Palace of Madrid. The foundation is named for a title once held by Felipe, the Prince of Girona, which is traditionally conferred upon Spanish royal heirs. Following Felipe's accession to the throne in June, the title passed to his eldest daughter, Infanta Leonor. At today's meeting, the board officially renamed it the Princess of Girona Foundation to reflect the title now held by Leonor, Princess of Asturias. Queen Letizia sported noticeably shorter locks at today's meeting. I think the semi-bob is a flattering look on Letizia and frames her face beautifully. There were however no new additions to her wardrobe. Queen Letzia recycled her well worn Hugo BOSS Hugo Boss 'Dinoma' ink-blot dress. She typically cordinates the dress with a black cardigan or blazer and today was no exception, pairing the dress with her BOSS Fashion Show 'FS_Jesila' blazer (£630). She accessorized with her Felipe Varela black chevron quilted clutch and Carolina Herrera black patent/suede pumps. SHOP QUEEN LETIZIA'S STYLE FOR LESS ...
Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia welcomed the new Board of the Academy of Motion Picture, Arts and Sciences of Spain at Zarzuela Palace
The Board presented their Majesties with an honorary Goya Awards, known in Spanish as los Premios Goya, are Spain's main national annual film awards. Considered by many in Spain, and internationally, to be the Spanish equivalent of the American Academy Awards.
Doña Letizia opted for a mod-style outfit, recycling her Felipe Varela monochromatic ensemble, which premiered during a trip to Chile in November 2011.
The chic outfit consists of a white wool shift dress and black top coat.
On her feet were her Carolina Herrera black patent and suede pumps.
Letizia styled the outfit with her dazzling black diamond earrings from Swiss jeweler De Grisogono.
They were first seen on Letizia in 2007 alongside a matching necklace.
Earlier in the day, Their Majesties received Senegal's President Macky Sall at the Royal Palace.
Letizia didn't make a wardrobe change between these engagements. She did however carry her Felipe Valera chevron quilted clutch when greeting President Macky Sall.

Today Queen Letizia attended her only official engagement of the week. She met with the Spanish Association Against Cancer, of which she is the Honorary President. As she stepped out of her car and walked through the streets of Madrid, Letizia again demonstrated why she is the Queen of power dressing! Her majesty wore a robe-style navy wool coat which is reportedly by Hugo Boss, but I have not been able to find this style in their current collection. The coat features a notched lapel collar, belted tie waist, front flap pockets, and buttons near the cuffs Under her coat she recycled the outfit she wore to the 25th Anniversary Ceremony of the Spanish National Transplant Organization in October this year. The ensemble consists of the Carolina Herrera fuchsia geometric silk print blouse, Hugo Boss 'Jetala' blazer and matching 'Taru' trouser (shown below in grey). Today, Queen Letizia carried a men's style bag; the Hugo Boss 'Norrmalm' business bag (£450). The bag description from Hugo Boss: Elegant business bag by BOSS in soft, tanned leather. The main compartment provides plenty of room, and can be securely fastened with a zip. Inside, the business bag also provides a zip compartment, a padded laptop compartment and an organizer. The bag can be carried conveniently and comfortably, thanks to the 2 handles and a removable and adjustable shoulder strap. On her feet were the Magrit pewter leather pumps, first worn in September this year to the Climate Summit in New York. She briefly wore her Ray-Bay aviator sunglasses which appear to have a grey lens gradient (US$160). She finished the outfit with her Chanel 'Comète' stud earrings. Their Majesties, King Felipe and Queen Letizia were accompanied by Queen Sofia and Infanta Doña Elena, to presided over the ceremony of the National Sports Awards 2013. The awards are issued by the Spanish Sports Council and recognize exceptional athletic performance, and also recognize individuals or entities who have made a significant contribution to the promotion of sport. For today's ceremony held at the Royal Palace of El Pardo near Madrid, Queen Letizia repeated a Felipe Varela teal tweed dress, first seen at the National Day celebrations in October this year. She again styled the sheath dress with her bespoke Magrit teal suede platform pumps. In this photo we can see Letizia is carrying a matching suede bag in the style of her Magrit blush patent clutch. Today Queen Letizia wore a new pair of jade butterfly shaped earrings. A follower of the blog has suggested that they may be these by Spanish jeweler Harmony Design. I have contacted the company and am awaiting confirmation. SHOP QUEEN LETIZIA'S STYLE FOR LESS ...
