Felipe and Letizia enjoy summer concert in Palma

The King and Queen of Spain spent their final weekend of summer vacation in Palma de Mallorca. They were snapped arriving at the Calanova Sailing Club to attend a concert of their friend Jaume Anglada. The musician was born and raised in Palma, and the royal couple have attended several of his summer-series concerts over the years.

It was a low-key event and Their Majesties dressed accordingly. Queen Letizia opted for a monochrome outfit consisting of white bootcut jeans and a sheer sequined black tank top. The jeans are the same pair she wore recently during a family day out on the Balearic Island. The sequin top appears to be new but I have been unable to identify the brand.

Queen Letizia jazzed up the the outfit with a stunning pair of Yanes chandelier earrings, and she completed the look with her bespoke Magrit 'Delia' sandals and black clutch bag.

Their Majesties will return to Madrid and commence their royal duties on Tuesday 2nd September.

Spanish royals enjoy a day out on the water

Today, King Felipe was joined by his family at the Royal Nautical Club in Palma on the final day of the 34th Copa del Rey Mapfre sailing competition (King's Cup).

After leaving the yacht club, the royal family got on board the Spanish Navy sailing ship 'Aifos' which competed in the race.

Queen Letizia wore a low-key monochrome outfit consisting of white bootcut jeans (unidentified) and an unusual t-shirt from Editorial Delirio which features a 'KAFKA' word design by Spanish artist Eduardo Escala.

Queen Letizia opted for neutral accessories, recycling her Uterque track sole sandals and Adolfo Dominguez 'Stone Shopper' bag.

The Queen of Spain has an affinity for eye-wear and her collection continues to grow! Today she debuted the Uterque 'Blue-Arm' cats-eye sunglasses.

King and Queen of Spain host annual Balearic Islands reception

Tonight, the King and Queen of Spain hosted the annual Balearic Islands reception at the Royal Palace of La Almudaina in Majorca.

They welcomed four hundred guests from the Balearic community, including politicians, academics, welfare groups and sports personalities.

Their Majesties were joined by Felipe's mother, Queen Sophia who looked beautiful dressed in a beige floral tunic pant suit.

Queen Letizia opted for a more somber outfit, wearing her black Hugo Boss flutter blouse and relaxed-fit silk pants.

Some of you may recall the controversy surrounding this blouse when Letizia first wore it last year to a concert at the Palma Yacht Club. Unfortunately, the flash lighting of paparazzi cameras revealed a little more than anticipated.

Some fashion bloggers claim the pants are the Hugo Boss 'Hathea' trouser, but I disagree. Letizia's pants have a zip front and belt loops, which the 'Hathea' does not. Also the 'Hathea' trousers have an elasticized leg opening, while Letizia's pants are straight. They still may be from Hugo Boss, but I have searched the Hugo Boss catalogue and was unable to find a similar style in their inventory. I'll classify these as unidentified.

On her feet were a new pair of strappy heels from Magrit. She debuted the 'Lena' sandals made of platinum and black specchio with a figure 8 strip design, and an Akira print cover instep and heel.

Queen Letizia also premiered a dazzling pair of chandelier earrings. The are the 'Hydra' style from Spanish jeweler Coolook. The silver earrings are covered with gold champagne and feature irregular green amethyst natural stones.

Rounding off the outfit was the Adolfo Domínguez python clutch.

Queen Letizia joins her family in Majorca

King Felipe and Queen Letizia are now in Palma, Majorca for their annual summer holiday with their daughters, 9-year-old Leonor and 8-year-old Sofia. Majorca (or Mallorca) is an island located in the Mediterranean Sea. It is the largest island in the Balearic Islands archipelago, in Spain.

King Felipe and the princesses arrived first having come from Madrid. They were later joined by Queen Letizia who delayed her travel plans following the death of her grandfather, Francisco Rocasolano. Once reunited, the royal family posed for the media out the front of Marivent Palace, the official royal summer residence on Palma de Mallorca.

It seems King Felipe is keen to establish this photo opportunity as a tradition. Last year, the newly crowned monarchs and their young family also posed for the media on the commencement of their summer vacation at Marivent Palace.
